Hey BA my parents are going to North Conway for the week, and asked me if I wanted anything while they are up there. They are going to hit up Moat Mountain Smokehouse, and I know they can a few of their beers. What should I tell them to get me? What is canned and what is draft only?

    Thanks in advance!

They can their flagship Pale Ale which you can find pretty much anywhere in the area (IMO it isn't all that great but it's worth a try). They also can a pilsner and blueberry ale, both of which are OK but nothing special. Their brown ale "Bone Shaker" is very good and I'd definitely recommend getting that. They also have a Helles Lager which I haven't had but I hear is pretty good.

They have growlers on sale with usually about 6-7 beers on tap. I think their stout is their best beer. I don't think they can or bottle it but it's usually on tap and it's great. Your parents may be able to find a bottle of the imperial stout which is also good, if you are into imp stouts.

I am into imperial stouts. I figured I would have them grab me whatever the brewpub has. I don't want them wasting time on their vacation hunting down beers for me.

I hate blueberry ales that aren't sours so there's no way I would want that anyways haha. Thanks for the heads up I'll tell them.

Was just in there on Saturday. I believe they are canning 4 beers now - pale ale, brown, helles and blueberry. For growlers, you can only get the house beers. The house beers are the above minus the helles, Czech pilsner, porter and stout. I don't know what they have in bottle, since I never went into the bar area. The growlers travel pretty well. They melt these cellophane rings around the caps. I've waited a week to crack one before and had no issues. I've seen some imperial stout bottle fairly recently at Vista Country Store. Wouldn't be surprised if the tripel was kicking around in bottles.

Edit: they are also canning the Czech pilsner.

I don't think any of their stuff is "knock your socks off" quality, but for the price, it's hard to beat. $5 for a 16 ounce can isn't bad. $9 for a growler refill? That's a no brainer in my book.
