I did buy 1.5 cases the night of release, sent out a few as extras, drank a couple, and I got a couple more slated to send to good trading partners. The case does not last all that long. =(

It was limit one first spot I saw it. (they only got a case) sold out in 3 hours. I mean, it's a stout with the Trifecta of "C''s Coffee, chocolate, and coconut. I'll be on the lookout for more.

Killed a 4-pack of 3/23 Booming Rollers last night, and it was spot on. Looks like they've got the oxidation issues under control. Can anyone else confirm?

Does anyone happen to know if the Mad Fermentationist is still involved with MT in any way -- recipe formulation, etc.? I'm sure @ModernTimesJacob has the skinny, but perhaps someone else knows as well?

my 3/22 had two straight bad ones. Clearly a strong oxygen exposure. didn't drink the last 2, just gave em away to a buddy who wanted to try it.

Not heavily now that they have a staff, but I'll be out there doing an event pre-NHC and I'll be speaking about coffee beers with Amy and Jacob at NHC.

I fear similar issues, I'm trying to get it rectified.

Mike continues to be our spirit animal, but yeah, it's tough to be heavily involved from 3,000 miles away. And from our end, I'm hoping once we finish with the capacity improvements we're working on now, we'll have more time for Mike-friendly projects. Putting so much effort into trying (& sometimes failing) to keep up with core beers makes it hard to be like, "Let's do a weird & complicated & time-consuming project with our spirit animal!"

But the NHC events & panels will be a blast. We're really going nuts with it. Should have an announcement with details soon.

    Cheers & thanks,

I picked up my beers on Saturday. There were 2-3 beertenders just sitting there chatting while I waited for 3-4 minutes while one beertender did all the work. I thought that was bad but then went to Council and had the same identical experience.

These guys wouldn't get hired at Churchill's, that's for sure.

Eh, I've experienced that very same thing at Churchill's. It just must be that laid back San Diego "I guess I'll do it" spirit.

Man, those 3-4 minutes must've really damaged your day. Especially given the fact servers typically make money based on how interactive they are.

I was just at Churchill's Thursday and it took me about ten minutes to get a beer with five people at the bar.

3-4 minutes is absolutely too long for wait staff to stand there chatting while making a customer wait. I use Churchill's as an example because I always find their tenders to be extremely fast. if you had a different experience, I'd be upset with that.

But since I had the same experience at Council, maybe nobody gives a shit about service and I'm just pissing in the wind.

It seems to me that MT's ownership is pretty customer service driven so I'm passing on the info.
