picked up my beers over the weekend. i probably spent more on gas money going to pick them up than the actual beers, but it's nice to have an excuse to do down to San Diego.

That feeling when you day trip to Buellton from San Diego and don't fill up for another 2 days afterwards (and yet I hate driving).

 

Haha, based on the people sitting at the bar I can tell we were in there picking up my bottles at the same time as you. If you saw a blonde 2 year old boy running around wreaking havoc that was us.

Had an excellent experience there at the Lomaland location. The gentleman behind the bar with the reddish hair and beard couldn't have been nicer and more attentive. Protocosmos bottles were fantastic (wish it were on draft as well) - probably my favorite IPA from MT to date.

I really enjoyed Mount Remarkable as well. Nice hoppy lager and a good balance at 5.5% ABV. Glad they didn't try to make it any lower ABV, not a fan of those super thin session IPAs.

Also really enjoying my growler of cold brewed Java Sunda coffee as well...

i do remember the cute server who i had a nice talk with about how Los Angeles is better than San Diego

 

I can't believe @ModernTimesJacob would hire someone that thinks that. Could have sworn that would be one of the interview questions.

 

If someone told me they liked LA better than San Diego my hands would make two quick sudden movements. One to my wallet, and the other one to my beer.

 

Having lived in LA County most of my life and moved to SD County 2.5 years ago- there is no comparison- SD for the win in many many categories; weather, air quality, beaches, bike riding.........and Beer.

 

Yeah, but remember the "cute" part. She may look good mopping the floor.

Of course, they may have been talking about the *baseball* teams. Fucking San Diego season ticket holders selling their seats the Dodger fans. Sounds like something a lot of beer traders would do.

 

Only one person in our row didn't sell there tickets it was pretty bad

 

Had a great experience at North Park just last week. Service was completely on point, helpful and recommended some restaurants.

Just had a bottle of Mount Remarkable last night, totally love it. Wish it was canned year round.

 

for the record i'm just fucking with you guys. when i was talking to her we were joking around about it (i was anyway). it's very easy to ruffle San Diegans' feathers. which is a fun hobby of mine

 

It's easy to ruffle San Diegans feathers, and yet, they never seem to make a big deal about people that cut in line. LOL

 

Sure they do heavy, just not to peoples faces. Just come online and bitch about... but isnt that why they made the internet?

 

Really bummed that I cannot make the Hella NorCal party next Sunday - have a family event.

A lot of feathers were ruffled, and big deals made out of line cutting at the BA Speedway 09 release if I recall correctly.

 

And in return, we got Alesmith to go BPT all the way. A good trade off.

 

Most of the big deals were made by Internet warriors. I don't think too many people were calling out the cutters *at* the time they were cutting.

 

Are we supposed to get into fist fights or just yell angrily? Risk / reward doesn't seem worth it.

 

Fist fights shouldn't be necessary. Get about 20 people that aren't happy about the cutting, and it's likely that in the least you will be doubling the size of the cutter's crew.
