Honestly, the music is a huge part of what makes the ambiance at Lomaland so great (and Flavordome, for that matter). Wonderful Afro-jazz, calypso, and some psych music. I always feel like I'm on vacation there.

Hey, @ModernTimesJacob, do you guys ever throw any of the barrel-aged coffee on tap at Lomaland or Flavordome? Or is that stuff solely packaged?

Naw. We did it for our 1st anniversary party, but that's the only time. The reason is that we generally feel it's better when prepared hot (personally I think pour-over is best). The heat rising from the cup really drives the aroma, which is a big part of the experience. We'll keep tinkering with it when we have a little bit more volume to play with, and if/when we start serving hot coffee then we'll definitely offer it.

    Cheers & thanks,

Is the Black House Blend cold brew to-go an ongoing thing? I've been trying to get over to the Flavordome to grab one.

Edit: if Booming Rollers was year-round my life would be better.

Until I hear that Oneida is a permanent thing I'm putting blinders on.

So who's going this Saturday? Probably bringing an ice chest full of kook, sip of sunshine, heady and more Lawson goods. Let's pregame and all day IPA fest with no limits. It will surely go well. Haha

My better half volunteered to pour there while I give myself diabetes a mile away doing a bruery days of the week share.

Might be the wrong place to post but had no luck on the trading forum. Anyone have an extra Sour Jamboree snifter from the June event? I'm a pretty avid MT glassware collector but being that I live in AZ, I wasn't able to make it then. I will be in town for Dankness tomorrow. Cheers!

I may have an extra VIP ticket if anyone is in need. Buddy who was going with me isn't feeling good this AM. Message if interested.

Was a damn solid event, but damn was it hot or what haha. Bought VIP and worth every penny. In and out within 2 hours, other half, de garde, cellar maker we're awesome. I'm sure I left some out but everything was solid.

That was a really well-run event. Loved how short the lines were most of the time, and that the breweries weren’t just phoning it in. Thanks @ModernTimesJacob!

(If I have one complaint, security got really pushy once the tents started getting broken down – had a security guard at 6:50 ask me “Why are you still here?” Maybe because I want to talk with my out-of-town friends?)

Festival of Dankness was a great event. Loved that the beer lines were not that long and moved quickly, brewers mingling with the crowd, plenty of great stuff up until the end.

Just add more restrooms next time, toilet lines 3x as long as beer lines, haha.

The 5-0 presence there was alarming. Got me all nervous just drinking.. so I had to calm my nerves by drinking some more.

Well run event. Yeah, the amount of security and cops was sorta weird though. I could probably do without mariachi. Fun fact: the mariachi band was located at the spot I got married, almost 5 years to the day.

Glad you guys enjoyed it. Given that this was the first & a pretty damn ambitious undertaking, I'm really happy with how it turned out. And best of all, it looks like we raised a substantial amount of money for BikeSD.

Security was all mandated by the county; it certainly felt like overkill to me too, but that's the price of using that gorgeous park. Definitely doubling the number of bathrooms next time. We've got some ideas on how to make the entrance line move quicker too, although a big part of that was due to the bag check, which again, was not optional. And I loved the mariachis, got lots of positive feedback on them, too. If anything, we'll probably add a second band on the other side.

Now we just have to decide which of the other three editions we'll do next: saisons/funk/sours, session beers, or coffee & beer. I'm leaning towards saisons/funk/sours.

    Cheers & thanks,
