I checked at 2 minutes and both the vanilla and coconut variants were sold out. If this is anywhere near as good as the bourbon barrel aged coconut variant that came out earlier this year, I will be satisfied.

I think the rum barrel aging will make it better with the coconut and also the vanilla bean versions. Way more tropical flavors.

Located in NC here...up for a trade of any variant really. Not picky  Just let me know what East Coast hopeful you would like.

Same here for Chicago. I'd love to try one of these.

Its because the variants from the bourbon batch were better than the base BA beers.

The only Monsters' Park I've had is the BA Coconut & Cacao Nibs. I believe this variant ruined me for any other Monsters' Park variant.

Had the Nicaraguan Rum w/ coffee last night. Really excellent beer, kinda like BCBCS. Definitely give it a try if you can.

How? The earliest date to pick up bottles is on the 4th, which is when they allow you a taster of each.

Do they allow tasters of it if you go on the 6th to pickup your bottles?

I was at the last monster's park release and they only allowed tasters at the release party date, which is this coming thursday. You didn't have to show a ticket to buy the taster though from my recollection.

This current release is/was all rum barrels. No bourbon.

Ruined, as in, none of the other variants could possibly be as good as it was. Had it at a tasting with an amazing lineup of beers and it still stood out as exceptional.

They gave me a bottle as a "make good" for accidentally giving away the MP bourbon coffee that I had ordered.

I was all logged in and had everything in my cart and I balked at the price on these. Modern Times is quite possibly my favorite brewery right now, but $30/bottle is steep to begin with and then basically a $3 service fee PER bottle when you have to go get it at the brewery anyway? I gotta draw the line somewhere, no matter how good the beer is. I'll splurge for something good every once in a while, but I'm just not paying $3 for a few extra clicks on the Internet.

My opinion matters little, I'm sure, as they have no trouble selling at that price.

I personally would pay the $3 any day of the week to not have to wait in a long line for who knows how long, with the possibility of not getting one. But I totally understand your point too.
