Never thought I'd post this, but missed out on the fruited sours sooooo; ISO! FT: Cantillon (Have FF, LPK, Rose', Geuze, Kriek Bio, Mamouche), SARA (Nonna's Blend #7), The Rare Barrel (you name it, inc Founders releases), etc. Love me some MT!

If you're near ZIP 93065, you could bring some of those goodies over and we'll have a big ol' bottle share once I get back from SD with my Modern Times! That offer is open to anyone in the area! Share the Whalez!

If u missed out on the fruited beers, the limits in the base sours is now 6.

Buy some fresh fruit of your own and get on with the French pressing...

I was able to snag 1 each of the fruit variations, and 2 each of the others! Can't wait!

Modern Times is shaping to be one of my favorite breweries.

Grabbed 2 Empty Hats, 2 News from Nowhere, and 1 of each of the variants. I'm excited to try the variants.

I've been going to MT Lomaland since the beginning and was impressed since day one. It's great to see them continue to grow and expand.

Stoked for this! My wife and I will be driving down from OC and staying the night, any recommendations on dinner places in the area?

I'll be cruising by around 7ish for a couple pints and my bottles. Come over and say hi if you wish, prolly have on a NIN shirt and/or a gaming sweater (since my Lagunitas one is in the wash).

Got to bat signal Jacob, but I'm not sure it works on the BA app...

Weirdly, that didn't seem to work, but like a nerd, I checked here anyway.

    Special taps today are:

    1) Neverwhere: last remaining keg of our 100% Brett Trois Citra IPA brewed in June 2013. Embrace the pineapple!
    2) Oud Bruin Barrel 21: Part of the barrel that would go on to become Oracle of the Bottle. Inoculated with East Coast Yeast BugFarm 1, Brett A, Brett N, Jolly Pumpkin Brett Strain, and Kombucha mother
    3) Empty Hats: 7oz bottle pours
    4) News From Nowhere: 7oz bottle pours
    5) Black House w/ bourbon soaked oak chips & orange zest: a tasty remainder from Black House Black Friday 2

Other fun things on the list: Sleepless City, the new coffee brown we just tapped with our Kenya Nyeri Othaya Peaberry coffee. Funky Lomaland: Lomaland funkified with Brett C and Brett Trois for over a year. Cask: Sleepless City w/ cocoa nibs & vanilla beans.

FYI: All signs are pointing to this being a VERY BUSY day at the brewery. Please bear with us. If you don't like crowds and you don't like waiting to be served, please head to the North Park Flavordome instead.

    Cheers & thanks,

You need to add a few more games there, Connect-4 just doesn't do it for me. The large tables were great for a couple card games I brought last time I was there, I just wish other patrons would not be so shy in asking what is being played.

One of these days when I am playing Fluxx, someone will just sit down, grab 2 cards from the deck and start playing...one of these days.

    Depends what you guys want.

Regal Beagle is fun if you want to keep the craft beer thing going on, and it's relatively close by. Great sausages, etc. If you're looking for something more formal/romantic, I'd recommend the restaurant at the Pearl Hotel or Starlite. Both are kind of midcentury modern-themed restaurants with great food and superb cocktails. There's Mitch's seafood, which is decidedly more casual, but some of the best fish tacos around. There's Saffron Thai food nearby in Mission Hills. Lots of good options. What kind of vibe/cuisine you looking for?

I'm thinking the wife would like something like Pearl Hotel or Starlite, thanks for the suggestions!

News From Nowhere tastes great but price wise is kinda tough. Was expecting more on tap/bottle than what was here but no complaints. Line to pick up was never too long and is down to nothing at 1:45. Really enjoyed my first visit & will definitely be back (that mountain of empty MT cans is a thing of beauty).

I am worried it will be extra packed when I get there after work.

Nice turnout. A little crowded but the better half and I got seats immediately at the bar and were quickly taken care of. Those servers are working their asses off tonight.
