I think that was the pink boots society ipa collab. I quite enjoyed it. I have always liked Boss Pour, but it has been the stouts for me at both Abnormal and Moksa.

Opened a viking melk last night. What a garbage stout. Drained poured half of it. Super thin, over roasty and acidic. 1 tasting note, which was copper. Felt like I got mouth banged by a pipe welder. Disappointing for sure. Best thing I've had from Moksa was their triple IPA with Green tea I believe? That was actually quite tasty.

To be fair.... Pastry Method was good. It even got it's own thread....lol...

Moksa One was pretty solid as well.

As SD Reaper mentioned, Persistence IPA with Pink boots was solid. The collab Juice Traveller DIPA with Great Notion was good.

Then some misses and average beers in between. YMMV.

I couldn't remember the price. Only remembered them being opened up by some friends that brought them down on one of their san diego trips. And yes, they were damn awful. I almost felt bad that we were punishing the drain so much.

Hard to take this serious after you called Cremeux another lighter cinnamon beer. I think Cremeux is fantastic. Some of their stouts from last year have been a miss for me, but One, Mosta, and Cremeux have all been great this year.

Have you had the NTU:500, 3 ply or tail dust IPA? They have made some killer IPA's, but also some average ones.

Hollow Bones was on the best stouts I had last year. Easy.

I had MD 2x over the last 3-4 months. Once was on tap at CHoP when TG did a take over. I prefer MD by a small margin. But, considering Hollow Bones is available here on shelf's around the Bay. No brainer.

Lol I don't really give a shit if you take me serious or not. I gave my honest review on each of the stouts they had on tap and none of them (even inc the member pours) were that good to me to seek out in general. Maybe your pallet likes that kind of sweet diabetes types of beers but I do not care for it.

To answer your ipa question, no I haven't had those. Next time I'll make sure I ask random ppl for those cans and I'll give you another review that you can't take serious either.

It appears @Hype_Train , a true tasting connoisseur, has exposed this brewery. Consider your trade value diminished.

Haha.. His palate must be more distinguished lol. There beers have been
I'm just commenting on how your palate gets cinnamon and light, on a very viscous, heavy 15.9% vanilla stout. To each their own I suppose. They have been hit or miss on some things.

Again, you say it's very very very very very very very viscous and heavy stout and I really got none of that at all. Maybe I'm mistaking the cinnamon for the Mexican vanilla beans and that's what it tastes like to me. Idk. But I can see why people have hyped the shit out of this place. It definitely gives trade value for the Sacramento area pastryboiz. But after trying everything on the board, I wouldn't come back here.

Heading to the can release tomorrow. Never been to one before. I know their stout releases sell out quickly. Do the cans go quick too?

It depends. I went to the sap n oak bottle sale and I showed up about half hour prior and I was #217 out of 500 and lines went every 50 ppl with two ppl selling bottles. Took less than an hr to get in.

If its the same one I had on tap at the sap & oak sale (friend gave me his member friends pour but didnt know the name) and IF its the only member beer stout with almonds...well expect the almonds to completely dominate this beer. SO MUCH FUCKING ALMOND EXTRACT
