I'm probably at $30-40 a week. I Spend very little in bars.

    Probably $2000 in 2012.

Because **** is now free, so it's wouldn't be prudent to spend money on it

More than I want to think about but I would guess around $2,000.

So, since this is a hobby can I deduct this on my taxes? On the 1040 long form there is a section for "Hobby Expenses." I would love to challenge the IRS but I don't feel like getting audited.

Damn! I've always been afraid of being asked this, I thought I spent too much on beer but guess I'm not alone. Definitely over $2K easy, although its probably going to grow for 2013...

I would spend more if my state had better distribution. Good beer is worth gold to me!!!

...and I don't suppose I'll be getting any returns for that?

Lol I do the same thing and sorta of afraid to add them all up. But roughly the same about minus the 2013 hoarders membership.

More than I should, but less than I could. ... same with the coffee I drink, it's worth the price for quality!

10 plus. Memberships, MI beer runs, Charlotte stops, and awesome store connections.

I buy about 95% of my beer in pubs where it's quite expensive ,about double the price of the same beers in bottles from supermarkets; no problem as it's three times as good
This does add up though as many times I decide to eat as well! Some pub food is of good restaurant quality but at sensible prices.
Say the equivalent of $50 to $100 a week. But this week it was around $250 including food. But only because I took my family with me

Much too much. I have around $625 in my cellar and much of that was this year. And I'd say maybe 15% of what I purchase goes in there (but they are many of the more expensive brews) so probably around $3000. Making like $20,000 a year, that is way too much. Now I'm depressed. Thanks....

I feel like this is bullshit. Because I'd imagine if you had a job where you could spend $7500 on beer you'd have a different name than PoopChute69 with a Spongebob avatar. I could be wrong but the internet makes it so easy to lie...

I have accumulated a couple thousand in my cellar but add on all my trips to breweries, europe, toronado, beer revolution, etc. I am a little afraid to try and calculate.
