I don't want to know honestly. I budget aside money for "me" things..breaking them down and adding them up kind of takes some of the enjoyment out of them. Ugh and including homebrew supplies and ingredients, it's probably pretty bad.

I try to avoid bombers if possible due to the cost (and the need to finish them once they're open), and I'm not a big volume drinker, so I'd say I'm under $50/month... probably $500-$600/year.

$50-75 a week on bottles probably? Much less in the summer, more in the winter.

October --> now has been painful. Delicious, but painful.

I'd guess about $100 a month, strictly on bottles. Hard to say when going out or at an event. Maybe $2,000+ for the year.

Personally I would rather not know exactly.

Probably average a $20 per week at the liquor store and $20 per week spent on beer while out on the town, so times 52 = $2,080/year.

    Sounds about right.

When I go to the store and see the many, many bottles, sixers, and cases that are there I always wish I could spend a lot more than I do.

    3K give or take 1K...

Now, since I have been drinking *CENSORED* and just recently discovered better beer (had my first Sierra a few weeks back) I'm thinking next year is going to be much more expensive and enjoyable.

My budget is about $200-$300 a month. Somewhere between $2400 and $3500 a year. I really plan on cutting that down this year though. It would get me another vacation, but I would probably plan it around going somewhere that I could buy more beer.

I've noticed that more time spent on BA = more $ spent on beer.

average is probably in the $30/wk ballpark, but then you have months like the past couple where certain releases hit and that figure suddenly spikes to a hundred or more a week. so it's easily more than $2000, probably closer to $2500. and that's not including bars... :slight_frown:

Whatever the average for a poor college student is, about $100/mo.

Sounds like more of you guys need to start homebrewing. We usually don't advocate that this will save money, but looking at some of your grand totals tells me otherwise!

I used to homebrew, but homebrewing only increased my beer costs. I would still buy the same amount, but my homebrew was always requested to show up at parties.

More money than I spent last year, but not as much as I'll spend next year.

    Who cares. Its all relative.
The question should be, what percentage of your annual income is spent on beer?

$7000 to a hoarding millionaire is nothing.
$7000 to a college student is a million.
