A minute!? I think the IPA hype helped sell this out. I don't doubt it would have sold out, but probably would have taken 30-60 minutes.

Where have you guys been for every other fruited Monkish saison release? Nothing has lasted more than a couple of minutes since Jutuex/Black Kisses.

These low bottle count fruited sours have never lasted more than 5 minutes. Even before they started making IPAs.

Anyone have a thought on why these go so fast but snugglebug never sold out for Smog City?
I am really hoping the love for Smog City stays low for Infinite Wishes. I want all of them.

Smog City is releasing kettle sours with multiple batches per year, likely in much higher quantity. They are good beers, but I don't think they are anywhere near the quality of what Monkish is putting out.

Snugglebug was 3,500 bottles whereas Same Tree and Kiss the Sky were 900 and 600 bottle counts, respectively. So, a 2k bottle difference is the reason.

Really, I guess I never realized this. Mostly because I never paid a lot of attention to monkish, even after their canned IPA's.

Another decent size batch. That damn 4/4pk limit is going to still make them sell out quick.

Yeah, do think it would reduce all the line-related nonsense if limits were a bit lower -- or at least, it should in theory.

What time do you guys recommend getting in line to get a full allocation? I'll be coming in from up north, first time visiting monkish!

6:30 the latest if you want in on the parking lot bottle share.
Pro tip: bring a high abv vertical. Parabola should suffice, you'll be a big hit with the regulars.

Just kidding man, you'll see what I mean. Get there by 8 and you should be good.

So tomorrow's release is Supa Dupa Fly with Amarillo substituted in for Citra in the hop bill... sounds tasty.

Guess i'll avoid picking up same tree tomorrow. Or just come well after the can crowd leaves.

You realize that the can crowd will be out of there by 11, especially with Mumford (though, I mean, why would anyone be going to mumford anyway?) doing a can as well at 11am. Those can chasers will be long gone when they roll around to the noon release of bottle pick ups.

What's with the Mumford hate or at least general dislike? Their beers aren't too shabby.

Anyway, I eagerly look forward to trolling through the Monkish hashtag on Instagram to see all the bros lining up at the crack of dawn.

i don't even know what to say about that...

I am curious, did you cruise by to take that photo?

Someone needs to do a documentary about beer bro lines. Like Trekkies. Except more beards and guts, and bt verts

Actually, all I see are chairs lined up. Can I just show up at midnight, plop down a chair at the front of the line, come back just before wristbands and still be considered first in line?
