What exactly do you mean by "Why not just do it online?"

I think Haiku De Saison was also in person release

Guess I was just surprised they were doing an in-person release for bottles when they've typically done bottle releases online first (with on-site purchases available while supplies last).

maybe just the super limited ones like Fruit cart get the online treatment?

They probably don't expect it to sell out. And if that's the case, why bother with the Eventbrite fees.

I think @J-loco is right. The more limited stuff (fruited stuff) is the only thing they are doing online. Most people dont really care about non-fruited stuff.

Can anyone give me some insight on what to expect when visiting the taproom next week? I looked on their site, but it didn't offer much. What does their typical tap list look look? Thanks in advance!

If you look a few pages back on the old Monkish thread someone posted a picture of their chalkboard from instagram, which has changed a little but should give you a good idea.

How often does Monkish drop cans?

Is there anyway to know what they are pouring other then just showing up?

I was in there Saturday getting a growler and decided on getting a taste. I liked it. Got a bottle of it (and it's a damn cool label to boot). I gave my wife a sip. It was a bit more tart than what she was expecting. haha.
I was in there about 8 o'clock and they still had the limited edition lambic glass available. Surprising.

Yeah, I was a big fan of that beer -- great funk going on. Enjoyed it along with the AZ Wilderness brew they had on as well.

One alternative option: Look on Untappd and see what folks have checked into most recently at the venue.

I think it's nice that Monkish has been alternating between can releases and draft releases with growler fills. Those of us who don't really want to line up at least have the option of take home growlers of some of their IPAs.
