Agreed it's great. They still had Damfino 2 for growler fills yesterday too. So two different IPAs to fill.

Yup. Hope they'll be doing half pours on all these dankness. OH lineup is awesome. Was hoping for GD. But I'll settle for HS & AGE.

Single IPA, larger batch, based on precedence that one may last into the early afternoon for walk-ups.

 

Damfino 3 confirmed delicious. I think I like it better than D2

 

Damfino 3 is as good as any Nelson IPA I have had, and I go way back with Alpine when their Nelson was the original hazy juicy orange elixir we all loved and drove hours to get. Props to Henry for putting out these great IPAs pretty much weekly now for tap and growler fills. Damfino 2 was still on today as well.

When I was filling a few growlers today I asked and was told most likely Damfino 3 and maybe a surprise fruited sour. They weren't exactly sure but they'll all be worthy of the event.

Hey guys, I'm visiting friends in LA at the end of the month and planning on stopping at Monkish while I'm in town. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it on the weekend for a potential can release. Does Monkish typically have an IPA available on tap during the week? Do they ever have bottles available during the week? Thanks!

 

after a weekend IPA release they typically have it on tap for most of the week. and yes they'll have some bottles for sale

 

Damfino (II, III or both) should be on in terms of IPAs. They don't do IPA bottles, but you'll certainly find a few of the Belgian-style bottles available for purchase.

Haven't been to a can release since Run the Pigeon, what's the deal with the 10am opening? If I get there at 8/8:30 can I hope to get a full allotment?

 

Since they are having a double can release, you should be able to score. But just to make sure, you might want to set that alarm clock half and hour earlier.

Monkish is amazing and this beer was right up there with the best nelson IPAs ever. It is NOT original alpine nelson. watch your mouth. lol.
