I will not disagree with you, PIG started the whole boutique west coast IPA movement, but isn't this a great Monkish take on the style ? I'm stoked because I never thought we'd see this and it does not disappoint.

    Cheers,

Damn that's a deep yellow hue of a Pils, a bit different than what I was expecting but looks tasty. I spent some time reading from their website and their style reminds me of HPB a bit. Checked out Untappd as well (for what it's worth) and I'm excited to spend some time at their booth on Saturday. Popped open a crowler of HPB Thunderbolt Gold after all this lager talk - good stuff!

having it now and kinda wish it had more bitterness. It's a great beer just wish it had a bit more WC bite.

Want to do a blind tasting of this, Rick's stuff, fresh cans of HF Mary that I just picked up, Henry's 7 Pilsner, and some HPB offerings.

Yeah it’s a total blend of west coast and east coast style.
Agree but it’s a great blend of the two styles.

I think you and everyone else. I'd love to try it, but I've decided not to really stress myself out.

That being said, a friend of mine said she'd be in line....early. Distressingly so. But, she does her.

Can't wait to drink a taster with all you folk. If you need to spot me, I'll likely be wearing some Patagonia hoody with the Academy of Exploration satchel as a "bag" to be able to put stuff in. But, really, it might be better off to ignore me. Never meet your heroes and all that.:rofl:

Looks like Monkish updated the beer list with their beers this morning. I hope the M7 dipa and M7 pils are the release for today - if there is one :joy:

Little Twin Stars - imperial stout w/ coconut, vanilla beans & cacao nibs.
Never seen this beer before, must be a new one since there is no untappd scores on it yet.

Going to voice what might be an unpopular opinion, but I'm not a huge fan of the new pilsner. It's decent but nowhere near as good as the previous ones... Wonder if anybody else feels the same way or if it's just me

I have really enjoyed the last couple Pils they've done. What, in your respected opinion, is not quite right with this one ? I can't comment as I wasn't able to grab cans today but will definitely fill a taster tomorrow.

    Cheers,

The malt bill tasted different from their previous Pils. I don't know... It was just different. Not bad but definitely not in the Numbers or Bizoot realm

I liked the Pils a lot maybe I'm in the minority but of the pours of the Pils, the DDH, Windmills and Phonetic, the Pils came first for me

Craft pilsners (and lagers, too)... while I respect the style and they are quite tasty and refreshing, they are not worth the price tag in my opinion. $16/pack is way too much. Should be $10-12 tops. I never buy them strictly for this reason.

2pm pils line meet up? :beers:

Woke up and had a change of heart on my line tolerance. My fiancé and I will be arriving around 12:15. Say hi if ya see me! Look for the avatar (blue shirt) with a beard and short filipina gal tagging along with me. No idea what we'll be going after first. Leaning towards the main monkish bar to try bottle pours and the new stout.

Agree on the lacking quality of the 7 pils especially when drunk side by side with Suarez’ palatine pils.
