My wife dropped me off right around 1PM, at that point it was pretty quick to get through check in. Had a few with Andrew and met a few board members for the first time, SoCalBeerIdiot and Finnishfox, really well planned out event, beautiful weather and an overall relaxed atmosphere. Time to start planning our off-line at Howling Rays.

    Cheers,

Did you like the Palatine Pils ? I had a couple pours, perfect for the warm weather today.

Same here Andrew, really enjoyed it buddy. I really want to get a few of us together for an off-line at Howlin Rays as we were talking about, we'll talk soon about that. Our last one was off the charts fun.

I agree all the above mentioned beers were standouts. Also some great Triple IPAs, including JFK/Clouds, The Veil 4500, Trillium Ballmer Peak, Tired Hands Guava Pineapple Double Milkshake (okay slightly different style), and Other Half Triple Citra Daydream.

We did a cuvée of 1 part bbt 2 parts little twin stars and that was actually the best thing I had today.

Loved it! Ended up with 5-6 pours and the smoked lager was no slouch either.

Thankx for rubbing that in. Had a milli sip of both, but that sounds amazing. One could wish...

Had a good bit of BBT, but my star was Suarez. I did like three immediate rounds and maybe two more. With the heat of the day, Palatine was just exquisite. The smoked lager was interesting, but by the time I tried it....I was a bit too gone. Forest and Main was also a good booth, also liked Lord Whangdoodle a lot for what it was, a sugar bomb.

Didn't have much of the Monkish stuff, though it wasn't for lack of trying too hard. The line was absolutely bonkers at the back. Though, hats off to Monkish for maintaining a solid line for most of the day.

Too bad I didn't actually talk to any BAs there.

The grounds crew and the employees were seriously on point today. Got prolific with my hugs with the Monkish peeps. Including maybe giving Jairo and Ivan a bit too lingering of one. LOL.

Definitely drank a ton of Suarez as well; I was quite sad when it was gone.

Didn't get a chance to say hi to anyone but glad you all got try and get after the ones you wanted to try. That suarez pils was awesome and, like Izzy mention, Lord W was tasty as hell for what it was lol. Getting to try GN, Trillium, HFS, Cycle, and the stuff OH brought was great too! :beers:

What's happened to the beer universe when there is zero lines at a HFS booth at a beer tasting ! No kidding, I just casually hung out for about 15 minutes going back and forth with Arthur and Anna. It was joyous !

Didn't try and attend the event... But reading everything made me get a mad case of FOMO

Same thing. But just kept repeating "110 simoleans...110 simoleans...110 simoleans" and real soon, I was a happy little buddha again.
