At the same moment ... Monkish Release Logistics > Electric Release Logistics ... which is a damn shame, complete shit show in Murrieta for their releases, ARGH

 

Oh the day when Monkish logistics surpasses another line mob. That being said, every line I've been in at Monkish lately has been fantastically fast.

 

I haven't made a release but have heard this on a few occasions. I can't drive 1.5 hours to do what I already do at Monkish, even if they might be slightly better at the moment. lol.

 

Isn't it June 1st? I regret not getting any of these for B1, so I might buckle down and get this.

as a newbie sour boy I'm definitely going to try and get this monkish sour. They sell out so quick tho...

 

I’ve never been to a can release. This summer I am going up north for a vacation with a friend who’s a beer guy who also has never had a canned monkish ipa. How are the releases now? If I get to the brewery @4 am I pretty certain to get cans?

 

Yes, if u get there at open, u will get cans.

 

Welp, missed THAT one, GF got her allocation though.

 

I find that Electric tastes better when fresh but only after a few days, it falls off hard. On the reverse, sometimes Monkish may be not as good fresh but will not only be that much better after some time, but it also holds up way longer than Electric. I still prefer and think Monkish to be the better choice.

 

NGL, I still have a Bonita in my fridge. Also still have a REALLY old Foggy Window that I'm rather curious about.

 

Does Electric use flour in many of their beers? Perhaps that is the reason for the fall off?

So I had a trip to SoCal for a few days...and can you believe the last night I was going to be there, Monkish had a can release?!?! So glad I was able to get a few four packs of this one!



Sweet tropical, slightly dank, hoppy nose...taste follows with light and crisp bitter hop bite that transforms into an almost grapefruity/citrus bitterness as it warms. So soft on the palate and great mouthfeel! Great!
