Frosty, If I was to do this, it would be you who I would do this for  But, I am not a trader so I wouldn't be able to assist you with your USPS requirements.

    Cheers,

Yesterday was the 6 year anniversary of me stepping into the Belgian-ish beer wonderland that was Monkish.
Me, my wife and another couple went and were blown away. There was a dubbel brewed with thyme. The name alludes me.
I met Henry at an AYSO soccer game. I was an assistant coach (if you could call me that) for my son’s team. We had an absolutely incredible team and during an area playoff I saw a dad I had never met and introduced myself. We got to talking and I noticed he had a Monkish hoody on. I asked him what and where was Monkish brewing. He casually mentioned it was HIS brewery. I did a double take. We visited the next weekend and were pretty frequent visitors after that. Monkish is how we found out about Smog. Adrianna was leaving Monkish one night and she stopped to talk to us. “We’re walking over to a new brewery. Smog City. You should check it out.”
The VAST majority of people who know Monkish will never know (or care) how ahead of its time it was in the early days as far as recipes.

I remember walking in on the first day. They had one beer on. Oblate? Crux? One of them. Henry and Adriana were behind the bar and greeted us warmly. They got to know me and my buddy (my buddy helped him keg Anomaly one day not long after that). As a lover of Belgian beers, I was stoked to see something like it in Torrance and prayed they wouldn't go out of business. It's been interesting watching their evolution over the years.

Dang you guys made me go on my Instagram for a throwback. I was selling a sub on Craigslist and met the guy up halfway in Santa Monica. Me and my friend had heard about breweries popping up all over LA but didn't really know the scene yet. Just did a quick yelp search once we were close to the Carson area and monkish popped up. We decided to stop by... Dead quiet ,I think there was only one person in the tap room, and a couple in the seating area. I think eventually a beer tour bus came for some guys 21st, the accompanying adults didn't even touch their flights and 3 flights just sat there until someone came and grabbed them. Me and my friend may or may not have snagged a few from their table to not let them go to waste

That day Liz was one of the main persons helping us and we got to know her a bit...then eventually I would start going extremely often and got to meet Henry and Adrianna.

The one experience that ties me to Monkish and Henry, is the fact that he went out of his way to try and get me a job. At the time I was miserably working retail and had mentioned that I was taking electronic tech classes at El Camino and was looking for a better job and one in the electrical / electronics field. Well one day I come back in, and we get up to chatting again and he mentions he spoke with his electrician who wired the brewery and that his electrician was willing to take on an apprentice. I was super grateful of the offer... but the reason I went into the brewery that specific day was that I was celebrating a new job offer I received that day. I thanked Henry quite a few times that day for even going out of his way to do that for me.

Is there a landing page of monkish release FAQs? I’ve read through the forum here and the monkish trading Facebook page but haven’t seen a full blown write up to avoid have to ask so many questions. I’ll be visiting LA (staying about 10 minutes south of Beverly Hills) for the first time this coming March. From what I can gather, it is releases on the fly, a post from monkish about an hour prior letting you know, they have expanded batches within the last 3 to 4 weeks which has led beer on weekdays to last until around 5 to 6 and on weekends until about two or three. Does that seem to be correct?

They'll indicate on their website how many releases they're anticipating for the week. Then you go through the motions you listed.

Heh my post was mostly sarcasm. But on the rare occasion I do go to Monks I always got a few 32oz vaccum growlers that I fill.

Thanks to @HopHead89 I had my first Monks can since the LA Hat 2017 can release. It was a good one. Foggier Windows. I think I had Foggy Windows back in time. I have a can of Riffs I will open up later next weekend.

A friend gifted me a few cans the other day. Finally had Bomb Atomically, I think.

I know it's older, but that thing was tasting like a great glass of OJ with some hop steeped into it.

I happened to mention that it was my 6th anniversary of going to Monkish for the first time. A few other people told their stories. That's all.
