I was there yesterday, Tuesday (7/21), at around 1:30 PM, and the dude in front of me asked about Anaheim and the three workers behind the counter all looked confused and said they didn't have any information about it.

The dude that asked, and his friend, didn't seem satisfied with the answer, and that is when one of the workers said that they will not open this year.

So definitely did not hear cancelled but did hear - from the workers - that they will not open this year.

Not sure about their strategy these days but they have like 12 different beers canned and for sale at the moment. Never seen this from them, rarely see it from any brewery.

I’ve been regularly buying cases and definitely appreciate the assortment of beers available lately.

Other Half on the East Coast has a huge amount of hazies (and other stuff) available on their site at any given moment. Monkish isn't quite there yet, lol, but I think it's great to see this much available.

They are putting out the same amount of beers they have all Covid, just they aren't selling out as quickly as they used to. Either they ramped up production or people are not buying as much. New releases used to sell out in seconds and they rarely had CA shipping. I'm happy it's much easier to acquire now.

This has worked out well for us up here in Norcal with the shipping option. Especially the mixed cases. I got 6 different beers with 2 mixed cases. Variety was nice.

This 100%. I've been meaning to try their stuff for ages now but I've been waiting for the Anaheim location to open since it's closer to me than Torrance. Shipping was a temptation for a while but having to watch their online shop page like a hawk was more work than I was willing to put in. Now that they don't sell out as quickly, I've been able to grab two cases from them over the past two months or so, with my third order arriving tomorrow. I've been sharing some of them with coworkers, just to share but also so I don't have so many beers in my fridge.

OH is much bigger than Monks. They have several locations compared to one (for now). Not sure what’s going on with Monks Anaheim. But yup surprised how much is available on their site.

I'm happy that they are offering some non IPAs in cans at the moment. I just ordered a case for shipment of three Belgian inspired beers: Tape Deck which is a "Belgian-style Wheat Ale", Subliminal Sequel which is a "Belgian-ish blonde", and Seme Della Vita which is a "Belgian-ish Tripel" with pistachios and vanilla beans. Can't wait to give them a try.

Seme Della Vita is very much pistachio and vanilla. They also re-brewed their fourth anniversary Select Monk 4, so I'm looking forward to that

Just picked up some Monkish on site in Torrance and have some available if anyone lives in Sacramento area. Also grabbed 4-packs from Pure Project and Mumford. DM me if interested.

Got my shipment earlier today (listed in my post above) and tried one of each of the three different beers.

The Tripel was interesting, and yes heavy on the pistachio. A slight bit of vanilla too, but not much that I could pick up. Overall it is a nice beer but not among my top favorite Tripels.

The wheat beer was a good representation of the style, and nice to drink, but nothing particularly stood out. Overall it was good but if I never had it again I'd be ok with that.

My favorite of the three was the blonde, Subliminal Sequel. Clocking in at only 4.5%, but it had the right flavor notes and was one that I'd happily drink on a regular basis. It didn't have that fake Belgian "chalky" note to it that a lot of non Belgian made beers have that are attempting to taste "Belgian". I'd order this one again.

All in all a nice selection from Monkish, and I'm thankful for being able to have a choice of non-IPAs to purchase.

Interested in making a shipping order but almost every IPA seems to have galaxy in it. Heard bad things about recent years galaxy crops from some east coast brewery threads (mainly Other Half). Anyone get the recent galaxy IPAs and have any feedback?

I, too, have been burnt out/staying away from Galaxy hopped beers recently. I'm hearing the 2021 batch of Galaxy is not as bad as the 2020 batch, but it is still not as good as past year's crops.

The earthy/grassy note was really overdone and off-putting IMO. The one brewery that tames those notes is Monkish. They do a great job of combining galaxy with other hops so that it takes a bit of a backseat.

Buying a case is a commitment, so if it is single hopped or paired with just one other hop, I usually stay away...unless that other hop is Nelson, of course!!! LOL! Cheers!

I bought the ridiculously expensive case today based solely on the triple IPA with nelson hops. I really don't need to be spending $175 on a case of beer and yet...

Didn't realize they had a build your own case option for shipping. Time to make an order...

Goddammit. That definitely wasn't up earlier today when I placed my order. If I would've known it'd change I would've waited a few hours.

YES FINALLY, is this is a new option or have they done this before?

Intersections is one of the better DIPA’s they have put out this year. Absolutely delicious.
