The mixes are so close, a lot of the beers taste very similar, with varying ABV's, IBU's, and mouthfeels.

They all taste the same, just admit it.

I was in the tasting room on Sunday, I grabbed growler fills of Pain/Passion and Beats Is Infinite for a GoT party. Tasted Atomically and Potholes (or maybe it was Pain/Passion and Potholes was the growler). Could not describe a single unique characteristic one had over the others. Beats is Infinite and Atomically are literally both described as galaxy DIPAs that both also happen come in at 8.3% abv.

Changing the label, doesn't change the taste???

Atomically is Galaxy Citra and Mosaic @ 8.3 ABV Beats is Galaxy only @ 8.6 ABV, IMO they aren't the same beers.

Perhaps you have other/better intel, but my info was culled from:

    and

As for the recipes, I'll take your word for it that Beats is 100% galaxy. I've never touted myself as a supertaster or anything, but when A/Bing the ones I consumed this weekend all I could discern were extremely minute differences in fruity notes or levels of zestiness.

    Cheers.

You just confirmed my post, I don't get your perspective at all. Your post said both beers were Galaxy beers and they're not.

...well, I said you might be right about 100% galaxy but that meant very little to my overall perception regarding taste. Also, to nitpick, they both say 8.3% so that's not a confirmation.

The Beats on tap is 8.6% if you want to go that route,

    K. Great. Doesn't change anything I wrote in my initial post about my inability to parse unique characteristics that make one drastically different from the other. Sometimes two people just have different perceptions when it comes to taste. Drink what you enjoy, that's all that matters.

    Cheers
