Damn. I drive by there every time I'm on my way to Mammoth or to Kernville. Used to stop in the town for some Citra bomber back when they use to distro'd to local stores.

 

Since the thread's gone in the scatological trajectory, I might as well share this awesome map website with y'alls.

Sadly, you'll see more incidents of publicpoop as homeless populations continue to soar. That doesn't bode well for folks who walk to places like Cellarmaker or any of the DTLA breweries from public transit.

 

It's not as bad as people want to make it out to be. As I said before, I've lived in SF for seventeen years and I walk all over the city on a daily basis as I don't have a car and I've never once stepped in crap on the sidewalk. Sure as hell not in North Beach where I live or the financial district where I work my day job and not the Dogpatch where I work my night job. Mostly concentrated in the Tenderloin and Mission where that's always been the case, well at least the Tenderloin. You are correct that it will probably get worse with the homeless population soaring, but hopefully there will be some sort of reasonable solution in the near future.

 

Maybe it's time to wrap up the December Monkish thread mod's ?

I will add that I do not plan on attending another can release. They are awful, it was one of the first times I can think of where I felt like I was better at life than the majority of the people there. I have nothing against smoking weed normally, but damn the guys around me smoked a lot, and I might have got a contact high.

Has Monkish done anniversary parties in the past? Were they ticketed? Shitshow?

 

Yes they have, I think you can still find some youtube snippets from last years craziness. Any special event surrounding Monkish is going to be a shit show, it's just part of the scenery@ Monkish.
