    BWAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA

Literally $10 more expensive than FWIBF that includes food.... ya'll have fun with this.

Edit: Also noticed this gem: "We will have paid parking available in neighboring lots. A map will be released with pricing info in the week leading up to the event. "

$100 to drink beer in a tiny parking lot with 500 people for 4 hours? And you have to pay for parking and food? What in the fuck? Get an appropriate venue and food paid for, should be a no brainer if you're going to be making $50k from ticket sales. What a fucking joke.

As to whether this could be a fun, mellow time.... I don't really consider any ticketed event I've ever been to a mellow time, even more experienced breweries fail at these events sometimes.

Given the size and scale of this, that they've never attempted anything like this before, and the Monkish crowd, the odds of a shitshow are higher than average.

I'm a big Fan Boy for Monkish and even I'm sitting out after reading all these comments.

Fair enough. My only reference is Noble's anniversary party the last two years which was pretty chill.

This will sell out faster than Fruit Cart b2. Even at that price point. I mean there's a commemorative teku and unlimited pours.

There's only so many pours you can get in 4 hours, especially with 500 people in that small space. People will probably spend at least half of that time waiting in lines.

Someone in the Instagram comments made a really good point. Realistically, people who attend this event will get maybe 8-10 pours, a couple more if you're really not picky about which pours to go for. At 3oz pours, that's literally only like 24-30oz of beer. $100 for the equivalent of a couple beers. LMAO. Get bent, Henry.

Yeah I'd say realistically unless you're one of the first people in line, who will probably be lining up in the wee hours, you'll probably get in the venue at like 2:30pm. That means roughly 3 hours of drinking till last call at at 5:45pm.

If you guys are at all accurate in your predictions, this event has the potential to devolve into a full-on riot.

Could be totally great... but bigger breweries with full-time event planners on staff have messed this up before. Who wants to go and report back?!

The guest breweries and the fact that Monkish is only 15mins away from me make this very, very tempting. The thought of 500 people in that tiny space and the lines that'll generate, though, makes me want to steer clear (especially for that price tag). Not sure what I'm gonna do.

Small space? Am I missing something? They are closing off the parking lot. I don't think space will be an issue.

I like how Henry hasn't even replied or even justified why they decided to go with that price point.

It's not a big parking lot... and they'll have multiple food trucks, booths for at least 5-10 breweries, and 500 people not counting event staff

No way Monkish will pull this off, should be entertaining.

I'm not going because of the price point, that and most beer festivals don't interest me. I don't think space will be that big of an issue either.500 people is roughly the amount at a can release and the lot doesn't seem packed. If they have 20 servers the max an average line would be is 25 people, and that is assuming everyone is in line the whole time. I'd be willing to bet they had close to 200 people at last years and that was just inside the brewery. The event could be a shit show, but that will likely be because of the crowd and lines for some special releases, just like at the bruery anniversary the line for bottle logic or rare barrel has been crazy.

I wonder if people will change their minds if they find out a 4 pack of TRIPLE IPA QUAD HOPPED COLLAB WITH SARA, VEIL, SIDE PROJECT, TIRED HANDS, OTHER HALF, TRILLIUM, OMNIPOLLO, DEGARDE WITH 100% CITRA 100% GALAXY and 100% MOSAIC comes with the admission.
