    Wait, isn't it more like...wearing a Beatles T-shirt at a Monkees concert?

Glad to see Feminist back on tap again (again!) because that's the beer that got us into Monkish in our household.

Hey man, for some people that constitutes a majority of their wardrobe, haha.

What you should be thankful for is that there aren't any brewery branded cargo shorts/dickies/flipflops. Like instead of the rainbow tag have it be a Monkish hop logo.

It was just an observation, honestly. I was standing at one of the tables, and just noticed how many Monkish logo sweaters were everywhere.

One of those things where you go by yourself and try to pay attention to details instead of getting introspective and dark.

Hey now! Most of my shirts and hats are from brewery's, rock concerts/bands and places I've visited. So I love my beer and rock music man.

I thought the flat billed LA Dodger hat was the required official hat to pair with your Monkish gear?

Dude, everything pisses you off. If you get that emotionally wrapped up in what people are wearing then you seriously should consider taking a break from the scene for a while, it must suck being so angry 24/7. And by the way, THIS IS A BEER BOARD, people tend to like beer and its trappings around these parts and that stuff transfers from social media to the real world like any phenomenon whether it be fashion, music, beer, wine etc.

Standing in line with my monkish hat, drinking a beer with a PBR coozie, flashing my 90 day AA coin.

To be fair, the times I've been to the tasting room I've seen very very few Dodger hats and bros there. I haven't experienced a can release day since the first Spock It so I only know of the clientele on those days from this thread. Overall though my trips there have generally been pretty chill and a good time.

Dude, this ain't sports. This isn't like wearing a Lakers jersey with a Clippers hat. Most people are a fan of ONE team per sport so wearing two different teams is a faux pas. Beer ain't like that. You can be a fan of Monkish AND a fan of BL. It's OK, man. It's OK.

Why wouldn't I? He didn't include the tongue sticking out emoji to indicate it was a joke. :stuck_out_tongue:

That's right. Now we're bitching about emojis. Keep up!

Serious question: Why spend $50+ on hats, hoodies, shirts, koozies, etc. when you could spend that money on... the beer? Not hating on people who do – to each his own – but I can't justify it. I like beer, I want beer, but beer apparel? Meh.

Get doing it for true upstart breweries that need the cash and the publicity, but not for places like Monkish with large cult followings that practically print money.

I'll take a couple of growler fills, Henry can keep the hoodies.

I would imagine for the same reason people buy literally any sports memorabilia or any merch related to things they enjoy. They want to support the organization and express that they're fans. You could just as well ask why wear a Dodgers hat instead of dropping the coin on tickets.

I like both. I like my certain beers and brewery's like I like my certain rock bands and music. I can drink so much beer at a time. I don't drink to pass out. I drink to enjoy the taste of the aroma coming from that beer. I like some of the merchandise coming from that brewery or concert so I'll buy it. If the shirt or hat feels or looks like crap I wont buy it. Even if its my favorite whatever. I believe merchandising brings in a lot of money these days. I know it does for most rock bands it does. If I'm going to spend $100-250 for a concert ticket what's another $40-60 for a shirt/hat?

Wow, this is ridiculous. Please bring back the bruery society pick up conversation. I wear brewery gear because well, I want to support the brewery. Why wear whatever clothes you own (unless you are a nudist)? Do I wear brewery gear all the time, NO, but sometimes I like rocking a t-shirt with a brewery logo. Speaking of this, I need to get some hats of some breweries, the only one I have is an Alpine, and it has been beat to hell for at least 3 years. Maybe I will buy a monkish hat so I can fit in with the haze bro's.
