im super surprised space cookie lasted as long as it did. not even sure if it sold out. I think the Monkish Hype Bubble might have popped. what are your guys thought?

I think it is a combination of lots of things. It was a big batch (195 cases), people were chasing heady, the hype is slowly dying, people can only purchase so many $20+ four packs, and I can get pretty good hazy ipa’s in most good bottle shops.
Monkish will still sell out, but we have seen it with a couple releases lately where there are a few dozen cases available with no line. Hell, I haven’t even gone for growlers since December.

It sold out, there were nearly 600 allotments (!) of a beer that has been released three times in twelve months, and we are talking about the bubble bursting.

I've only had a few Monkish cans (those I got in trades or from reg traders) but space cookie sounds interesting enough for me to seek out. Is it not a big favorite from them?

Batch 1 was great, batch 2 wasn't so much, batch 3 was back to form.

We bought 4 4-packs (sheesh), I can supply you with a can.

Every single batch of space cookie sold out in the late evening. For some reason it doesn’t get the love it (in my opinion) deserves.

It's different, but its good. Seems a lot of people were looking for it, after the fact, so that says a lot.

On another note, Drip with Sunset sounds promising. Surprised more people weren't excited about it though its almost sold out. Currently just showing in people's basket.

Quick question for the regulars: How do the growler limits funtion? I am looking to stock up on tasty hops for memorial weekend and will drop in next Wed. Is the 4pp a limit per beer, total growlers and/or does the 4 mean 750s or can I get 4x 2L fills?

The goal is 4x 2L conisisting of a smattering of whatever is available but want to know before make the trip up.

    Cheers

Check the tasting menu link on their web site on Wednesday. They will usually list what is available for fills and how many growlers per person. The "per person" is per beer and you can fill a full growler or the 750 but a total of four max of each.

Just go with extra bodies until you can fill that request. I think the 4pp is the 750mL

Enjoying a few at monkish right now. If you have the chance to snag Mas Black Kisses (in house), do it! Really well done saison and super jammy. The unfiltered pilsner is bomb and definitely snagging a growler on the way out.

Re-visiting at 11 days. Man has this morphed into a completely different beer from day one. Its shed it flab and is a laser beam of juicy bitter citrus. If ya got em crack one to see.

    Hi All!

I'm new to the Monkish releases, but giving it a try for today's release on Sticky Green and Bad Traffic. I will be leaving Newport Beach @ 5pm and would likely reach Monkish at 6-6:30pm. Would I be able to get some cans at that time? Usually on average, how long does the release last? Would this even be plausible to catch some cans?

    any information would help! thanks!
