It's not worth the trouble these days. After I decided to stop getting Monk cans I would stop in for a quick growler fill. The last couple of times I would stop in and turn right back around and say the hell with this. I'm more back to my west coast pa's today. Enjoying the clean fresh tasting IPA's is better than all the BS in getting the darn dankish beers.

Well said DC... I prefer smaller formats of clean fresh IPAs so I do prefer cans if I can get them. I think if HPB starts canning more regularly and Beachwood stops teasing us and puts their core IPAs in 6-packs I'll be set.

It seems off peak days no longer exist. Seriously, even when there is nothing rare or special being offered there is now always some kind of line, the debacle yesterday has changed the way I will buy beer from Monkish for a while. Most breweries have a hop cam, Monkish needs a line cam.

    Cheers,

I have a hop feeling that BW ipa 6 pack's are coming. When? That I don't know. I wish BW would stop being so selfish and start filling 32oz growlers. Or even crowlers. I just got back from Gunwhale and got me a crowler of Bait Ball. Now thats how it should be. 64's are great for sharing with one other. Yeah I'm starting to get over the dankish haze beers unless I'm at the brewery and there is not a sh!te show going on.

Feel free to search past Monkish threads for ad nauseum variations (some serious, some sarcastic, some ultra-entitled, some just plain stupid) on each of your points.

And, no, there is no lack of great beer being made in L.A.

Just stopped by for a pour of GoD and there is still a long line for fills - doesn't appear to be moving very fast either. Just a heads up for anyone who was thinking about heading down.

One reason that fill line is a bitch is that they have to stop and hand wrap every frikin Teku glass as well. I was around 30th in line yesterday and it took about 45 minutes to get in. There were actually people in line yesterday waiting only for their two Teku glasses, as mentioned here ad nauseum they really should have set up a line for merch, a line for the GoD, and all other fills, sadly they just don't have room. But that beer.............................

    Cheers,

OK, someone is going to have to explain the Teku glass thing to me. Are these commanding a strong price on the secondary? Is it because the newest one manages to check hazy beer bro and dodgers fan boxes?

I figured most beer geeks were like me and just could not possibly find room for another glass (I have garage saled so many taster glasses from festivals).

The bros' do sell and use them for trade bait. It's not a coincidence these are in Doyer Blue, it's the bros uniform of choice when they swarm Monkish.

Growing pains. No one buys a space based on the assumption that they'll be producing some of the most sought after beer in the country multiple years later.

Amazing that people waited in line for just some damn tekus. Probably made those folks feel better when Monkish made them available online earlier today.

Poor use of language. Point is, no one decides to occupy the space on some assumption they might be wildly popular years later.

In line just to order... or including waiting to get your fill?
