hey bud. they had growler fills today? I stopped in on way to lax and there was a line to the door. I didn't see a price for growler fills for the IPAs on the board. so I left.

David, SO was still on for fills today. Lines for GFs move quickly, I got there at opening and was out 20 minutes later. SO was 20 per fill and worth every penny.

    Cheers

Wondering what the cost is for a new 2L growler and a fill of SO?

Probably $28 or so, plus tip. Do people tip on growler fills? I do because they give you the option on their little square checkout thing, but should I be?

I'll do a buck or 2 rather than a percentage. Though I never tip on buying bottles at breweries. I don't do it at my local liquor store...

Thanks guys! Got a 2L growler of Shaneal O'Quille coming tomorrow morning. Really cool guy I'm trading with was awesome and grabbed me a fill today, super excited to try my first taste of Monkish to see if it lives up to the hype (I'm assuming it will  ). Cheers

Interesting... I heard that Henry wanted it more dry and that it came out too sweet. Having said that, I loved it.

Went to Monkish for the first time ever this past weekend. La schmoove was excellent, Diverted Dreams was incredible. The shaneel o'quielle growler I filled was so good at night, but even better in the morning to my surprise. The celestial fuzz and bombinate were excellent as well. I'm so jelly of you LA peeps. I even asked my wife if she'd consider moving to LA lol.

I haven't been this impressed with a brewery since my first visit to Alpine Beer Co (pre-GF)

We popped another growler of Shaneal at a holiday party last night and it was just beginning to show its stuff. I'm sitting on a couple for a few weeks as usual.

    Cheers

I have a 64oz growler of it from this saturday. But how long will these stay prime in growlers?

If its a swing top growler it should last you a while. Ive had growlers from them 2-3 weeks old and everything held up nicely. Carb was on point too.

I've had beer (filled to the top) in my growlers (flip top/screw top) up to 4 weeks sitting in my fridge with no issues. I like to put electrical tape around the cap if it wasn't done at the brewery when filled. Some growlers that wasn't filled to the cap still was good after the first opening. But once opened you should kill it within 24 hours if not sooner. That's why I've gone to the 32oz growlers these days. Unless I'm sharing.
