So.........finally Monkish is capable of pretty much doubling their canning output, BRAVO. Now they can get their beer's to all those long time supporters that can't wait around a brewery at 1:30 everyday and WHAT DO THEY DO........YUP....they double the allotments LOL. So it's basically the same 200 lot lizards and maybe 50 here and there more that can get cans. You guys all know I love me some Monkish but I dont need a case of the same beer regardless of how much I like it.... OH.........I dont trade, I get it now. But for fucks sake team Monkish, and you do knowI love all of you....BUT if you reduced the allotments back to usual, do know how many more people could actually casually drop by and pick up your totally awesome beers ? like those who have jobs, families, and well....... LIVES. So these will last MAYBE an hour longer but still you need to play that BS parking and line game, hmmmmmm, maybe thats the intent? Come on guys, you do realize your going to sell out that same day dont you ? Of course you do..........jumps off soapbox.

    Cheers,

They're doing it on purpose. Being able to walk up and just casually buy beer from them is bad for business. If the hype dies, so do the crowds that spend $88 for 16 cans of beer. It would make the whole reason for the expansion pointless. It's shitty, but that's the truth. They're printing money with their business model, they have no reason to change it and only have something to lose if they do. It's all just business at the end of the day.

It really isn't bad for business though. All they're aiding is the trade hype train. Monkish is already well established at this point.

Exactly@ annakarina, and @BreakingMyBalls, with most every single release over the past few months you can " casually " walk up to the tasting room and there are cases left from that days release. My point is, there is no risk at all of diminishing their hype factor,or whatever you want to call it by having their beers available for an entire day, it hasn't hurt TreeHouse or Other Half, or other sought after NEIPA brewers, in fact it actually could increase the wow factor because more people, and most importantly, "NEW" customers, may finally find out about their beers and share the love.

    Cheers,

They sold out at 2:31; that's plenty of time to swing by on a weekend and walk up without having to wait too long. I agree though that they should have kept the same allotments as usual.

Considering the usual allotment was double their largest allocation I thought this would go well into the evening but with 4 per person I missed out by like 20 minutes...

I would have done 3 pp, and it probably would have lasted till 5.

Also, as seen at tree house yet not seen at other half or trillium, quality can suffer when you try to exponentially increase your output. As any brewer or scientist is aware of, just because your tank is 10 times the size doesn’t mean your ingredients just multiply by 10. Those smaller batches make for the best beer on earth and I pray they never expand for my sake or theirs

The allocation was pretty freaking low. You need to be on there at time of sale.
