Curious question. Can any of these secondary market sites get shut down by the ABC? Or do they have their hands tide with these illegal beer sales going on? I would love to see the secondary market disappear and beer trading returning to hype/bc. Get rid of secondary and I guarantee your beer lines will be cut down in half.

Went from 121 cases at 1630 to 36 cases at 1700. Glad I didn't make the drive from LBC.

Is there an @AltABC twitter account?

Seriously though... I'm guessing they're aware of it but it's probably pretty low on their priorities list. Most sites will probably get shut down or warned eventually, but then new ones just spring up. I'd think the breweries could also get their beers off there if they really wanted to, but also not a priority for them.

It's not even just the time in line, but if I have to listen to some bro talk for more than 5 minutes about Treehouse/Trillium/Monkish trinity and how he's "Art of the Deal"-ing them all over the place it makes me want to run away screaming. I'm fully aware this is MY problem.

"collectible bottles" Can't shut down a site for selling/auctioning glassware. Site owner can claim ignorance that the bottles were full of anything.

You know, regardless of what is going on with after market prices in terms of effecting trades, the very nature of trading one thing vs another is a conflict that both parties will always value their item over the other fella's to maximize potential worth.

The best you can really do is just drink the shit and don't bother. Like, seriously, yes, cans sell out in a few hours. But the beer is right there on tap and without much of a wait on most days. There's been some growler fill options that never hit cans that were above and beyond the canned beer. Swan Ronson was beautiful, as well as jockin joints.

So there's options for all who want to drink there as well as drink at home/share with friend.

You folks realize that secondary markets have been around for a long time. I remember just buying 07 Darkness on ebay when it came out for about $40. Is it illegal? Yeah, but not much more illegal than shipping beer across state lines without a license - which we seem to do.

The real factor to tackle is getting it in the minds of these folks that are paying way too fucking much for something that shouldn't be that high. But hey, free market will dictate itself.

I like the ppl over on reddit that trade $4$ and realize that they have to add some local goodies when they find out I am from CA. Our bombers ain't cheap.

And there's DOT in the middle of them all, pre-selling like a gangsta.

Yah, it was pretty good for a dark farmhouse which is admittedly not my favorite style. Really tart, I got a lot of sour plum flavor.

Is the hype dying down? No comments on cans, kids or cannabis since last Thursday!

The hype may die, but this thread never will, so long as you're here to do back to back substance-less bumps.

It was a rather unfair and nasty criticism on my end. I just like to razz the dude when he goes back-to-back up in the mix like that.

La La Lupulin in honor of the 89th Academy Awards.

This hazeless west coast TIPA is sure to garner immense critical acclaim on untappd, and perhaps, an equal amount of complaints that it doesn't quite live up to the classic style it seeks to honor.

    :sunglasses:

EDIT: Whoops thought you asked what name.

Given Henry's theological background I'd say Sunday is highly unlikely. So you have a 33% chance of Thursday, Friday or Saturday. I'll take a can for this analysis.
