Haze laborers don't have other plans. They have one plan.

So they would line up at 3:00 rather than 1:30. Not much difference

As much as it's a destructive force for their relationships with their neighbors, it is also a symbiotic one for them. They need at least some of the hype to sell through those 70-160 cases quickly enough so that it doesn't effect the day to day operations in cold storage and getting the manpower back to the other aspects of the business.

So they need to have a little hype behind them so cans don't sit for hours, let alone days. Besides that, even if they just randomly sold them at 4pm without any announcements, the buzz around their beer is so high now that no matter what, they'll have folks waiting there daily at 4 instead of 2:30 waiting for that drop.

Online sales will also do nothing more than get their money in their pockets faster, even with a time window to pick up, you're still using worker manpower to man whatever station for pick up. It'll also still sell out in a fraction of a few seconds for that 400 or so allocations of canned beer, which would probably equally prevent folks from getting it like the current method prevents some from getting it if they work those business hours.

In the long run, there's really no perfect way to do this, if they like what they got going on now, by all means, that is what it'll be.

I know it's been mentioned earlier/in a previous thread but how are their finances looking? Are they making money hand over fist or are they barely breaking even?

You would think they'd have expanded/announced an expansion at this point. Not at their current location, but at least some sort of growth.

Because when I keep seeing the cold storage thing pop up I can't help but think, "OK, well, what the hell have they done to address that? What could they do?"

It'd be nice for the brewery to give some kind of official indication as to what the hell is going on.

Except they don't need to share their books with anybody other than investors and attorneys. Asking for that info almost seems like asking for their recipe for their biggest seller or their cultures.

I'd consider it an order of magnitude dumber than asking for a recipe or cultures. If one of my clients asked that sort of question, I'd tell them to piss up a rope. Any given private business owner's finances are their own and their customers have zero rights - legally, morally, or in any other sense - to any sort of indication of what's going on.

Speculate all you want, lord knows I do so, but expecting them to share that sort of information is hilarious.

They have a fidouchery (sp?) responsibility to the haze laborers IMO.

How do you want them to address cold storage? They have no plan on keeping that as a can storage, so that's clearly not on the agenda. And where would they expand to anyway? Aside from moving to a whole new location, they are pretty limited in how much they can improve/expand the property they are currently on since they have neighbors. Most places that have expanded in industrial parkways like that do so when neighbors leave or buy out their contract.

Pretty sure they are raking in cash and probably have nearly zero debt at this point.

Crossing my fingers that they are actually gonna release those cans today

First time visiting Monkish tomorrow. By the sounds of it, looks like I'm going to have to get their multiple hours in advance to attempt to get cans. Never tried their stuff, so hopefully I won't walk away empty handed!
