I was there, no scanning of IDs... but I'm going to assume they did that because they thought it would sell out before people had a chance to double dip

do they typically have these on draft if the release is within a few days? I will be in LA on Monday and am debating if I want to buy bottles without tasting the beer but form what I am reading here the vultures swoop in and take all the beer away very quickly

Just go for it. Bisous is delicious, and the prices are great.

typically on pickup day they have the beers on draft i know that is quite literally the opposite of what u asked but they do tend to have them on draft that way u can try it even if u get shut out on bottles

Just had a can of spock it and my last growler of holler, and I can honestly say Ive been impressed with every single one of their releases. I've had tons of HF, Treehouse, Trillium and bissell IPAs before Monkish started making them and our Cali brewery is killing it . I would not trade any Monkish hops for new england stuff unless you got your mules to get you excess cans and haven't had any NEIPAs. we already got a brewery who can make it just as good if not better. Hands down, Monkish is killing it. say what you want, but I'd save my shipping label money. support Local, even though I'm from OC, lol.

The HPB releases are typically low key, though there were a couple of releases that generated some fairly long lines around the release time. If they ever can a hazy IPA, I'd expect some even longer lines.

new growler only IPA fill announced and seems like their other growler only option is on its last legs

Just left Monkish. Filled up two growlers of Legend, had a Spock It and Irate State, all with zero lines. Strange to see 3 IPA/DIPAs on the board. Henry is really ramping up the hoppiness offerings big time, and for us that don't do lines I couldn't be happier.

    Cheers,

Traffic is a bitch. I won't drive up to HPB from South Bay for their Friday can releases because of that.

For some reason, everyone will truck to Monkish (from Chino, Riverside, etc) for the can releases but that's because of the juicy hype... I mean, GABF Gold Medals be damned, HPB hasn't capitalized as much on the hype from what I can tell.

I'm confused on where to put my lawn chair for this online sale.

Bisous is already in unavaliable turf.

Damn, I got two Brett Heart and then kept refreshing and tried to add Bisous into my cart twice and both times I was too late and now it's sold out. Oh well.

I hear ya, I live in Belmont Shore, maybe 20-25 minutes from Monkish so thats pretty easy for me, but one of these days I'll torture myself and make the trek to HPB knowing their stuff tends to last longer. Love their beers but that drive is just to much at that time of day.

    Cheers,
