I am convinced that most of the douchebags in line have never even had their Belgian offerings. They probably have no idea what Magnificat even is. Especially That freshoreste homie. I am happy for monkish, but they have created a monster.

Just left Monkish Sovereign Good,I loved seeing cans in the cooler albeit it was for can pours of MFCLDIPA which I did get to wait for my growlers of GG and watch the baseball playoffs in the back. Good times at the pub, keep the can inventory going Monkish I love can pours.

    Cheers,

Were they giving you the whole can or just 8oz pours?

I wish they would bring Rosa's Hips back. That was one of my favorites

I have '13 regular and a '15 BBA. I'm thinking I need to crack both this winter.

LOVE Rosa's Hips. That's what got me drinking their stuff in the first place.

Can pours of Gone Glorious on the online Tasting Room menu today. Still testing out the canning line perhaps?

Wonder if the taste is any different in cans vs on draft - guess there's only one way to find out!

Pretty cool they still have Gone Glorious on for fills. I shared a growler with some friend's who haven't tried the east coast style yet and they were blown away - they actually didn't even think it was beer at first. I'm really diggin' the Citra and Mosaic in this one.

Though the double was better than the single out of the tap, but I agree... I've been enjoying the single more than the double out of the can.

I did hear they dropped their distributor somewhere but can't recall where or how legit the rumor was. For a long time, they were kind of anti-IPA so I can see how that scenario makes sense, but wouldn't know for sure.

I think they just wanted to scale back distribution and have more control over their bottle releases. But I could be wrong.

Sounds like their Trillium collab is getting rather "mixed" feedback...

It is because the beer-bros saw Trillium and Monkish and assumed it would be Tropicana. The description clearly states it has a bitter finish, you know like almost all real IPAs (ok, not all real but figured that would make my point a bit more), and going to guess that most of them have never drank things that have been bitter before.

    Edit: The description
"For this East meets West collaboration, we’ve joined forces with our California comrades at Monkish to brew a Double IPA aged on mango. We never thought we’d do a fruited IPA… but here we are doing it again (Henry from Monkish feels the same way!). Intensely aromatic, the nose is composed of bright mango, melon rind, and combination of tropical & piney hop character. The palate follows the nose, intensified by a bold, quenching, lasting bitterness."
