Monkish Brewing (September 2016)

About 50 in line right now. Line has been consistent. Hasn't swelled or gotten any longer. Moving well.

 

Down to 3 4pks per like people have already said, but finally able to score some monkish cans! This was much better than waiting in line for 6 plus hours on a Saturday morning, i would imagine.

 

In and out in less than 20 mins.

Easy peasy. So much better than those crazy Saturday lines!

 

And it's gone. From what I've heard this was a much more civilized release,if Henry put the limit at 2-3 four packs this would have lasted until 7-8pm, its a learning curve for the Monkish team and as a line hater it gives me hope that cans can be had in the future without the shit show. Good job Monkish, BTW, FTF is on for fills unless it just kicked.

Didn't see ftf on tap when I was there

 

It was also nice to see a lot of the regulars that I see during the week usually there. Unlike the only here for the shit show Saturday can releases and bounce out.

 

It's still showing as on for fills, their usually pretty good on updating the list, but I wasn't there so I'll take your word. Actually drinking some FTF now, one of my favorite IPAs to date.

Pretty sure FtF got taken off fills on Sunday. Glad to hear this release went well, those Saturday releases were getting out of control... Not that I have bothered going to one since Foggy Windows.

 

I think now that they have their own canning line, cans will eventually be a lot easier to pick up for us weekday regulars. We know that the majority of those Saturday morning campers had no intention of actually drinking the stuff for the most part. Once cans are pretty easy to get the whale hunters will move on to the next must have to feed their families.

I immediately brought one of my 4 packs over to my boys house. This is solid. Tasting good right now. Can't wait to see what this tastes like after the can shock.

 

It was tasting solid on draft as well.

 

Just cracked open my first growler of FtF that was filled 9-23. This one is so full of flavor on first pour. My favorite monk(ish) beer to date. What can I say.......

 

I really loved the "Act Out Emotions". Wish I had grabbed a growler of that.

 

How much are growler fills and new growler for their IPAs in general?

 

True. Filled 2 32oz growlers of IPA=$20

 

Looks like no more FtF for growler fills.

 

I would be shocked if they got rid of IPA growler fills. Everytime I'm in there I see people with two growlers getting filled.

 

It would have lasted well until the evening last night had they not gone with the 6 four pack allotment.

Think so? They did full allotments until about 5p, maybe 5:15 and they sold out by around 6ish, I believe. Sales might have lasted another hour or so?

 

If they went with 2 four packs or maybe three max it would have lasted until 7:30 at least I think.
