Yah... 1/2 allotment would've made it to 7/7:30p. Guess I took "well into the evening" as closer to closing, especially since Monkish said they would stay open until 10p if they still had cans left.

Would've been close for the guy leaving Highland Park at 6p.

Did anybody do both Monks and HpB? I heard that HpB had cans left close to closing?

Damn, wish it would've been tomorrow instead, since I work from home (in Redondo) on Thursdays...

Oh well. That's the benefit of these types of releases now. Great if you get to go. But no major issue if you can't since people (at least some of us, anyway) have other responsibilities outside of beer and can't just drop everything any day. There will be plenty more coming.

I work about 15 minutes away. Caught that there was a DIPA release today and had no afternoon work scheduled. Headed down there, waited in line for no more than 10 minutes and got back to work before anyone even knew I was gone.

I don't do the weekend releases because...well...its just beer. IPA beer at that! Not worth hours of my time. But to be able to randomly shoot down on a slow work day...well hot damn, I better go buy myself a chair! (Thats how this works, right?)

 

but where will the beer bros go to drink on Saturday morning now?

When Donald Trump is president, he'll make American great again by demanding that we get those industrial parkway bottle shares at way too early hours on a weekend morning back again!

 

Took a 30 minute break from work and scored some cans, love these weekday releases. Friday nights/Saturday mornings are meant for partying/recovering.

So...on pace to be gone by 6/6:30 again...

Guess I'll "settle" with some Greenie from Beaches.

They posted a half hour ago that there we're 110 cases left and no lines. Still not going to drive over.

Plenty of beer, basically no line.

 

43 minutes after opening, sold 70 out of 180 cases. 98 case an hour rate. Slowed down though because no longer a line... but people start getting off work closer to 5... So I'd calculate they'll be done around 6:22pm.
