$17 price tag is... giving me some pause. Probably shouldn't, though. I regularly spend $8-9 per bomber.

    $16
7.0% ABV with Nelson, Amarillo, and Galaxy hops in this juicy, easty IPA. Similar release amount to First Things First, limit 2x$16 4 pack. Get on it!

I've had both of the Monkish beers as well as a bunch of stuff from TH, a few VT beers, the Tired Hands and Other Half beers in this style and Monkish is right up there with all of them. The Monkish beers aren't as straight up "JUICY BRO" as something like Julius but they have that very soft rounded hop profile that's typical of the Northeast/New England IPA. I enjoy the flavor styles you can get out of it, it's just a different approach to IPA than the typical West Coast style.

If you put a gun to my head and made me pick one I'd go with my tried and true west coast IPA. I drank a Hello, LA next to a Run The Pigeon and Hello was still edging it out for me. But the Monkish beers are great and a really good representation of that IPA approach.

Luckily with the LA brewing scene blowing up by leaps and bounds I don't have to pick one or the other or trade some ridiculous amount for cans - I can get them both locally. :sunglasses:

As far as price goes its next to Tree House Haze dipa which is $4.25 a can and you don't have to pay for shipping.
