Henry mentioned that these first four releases (including the next one, a session IPA) are 10 BBLs, but future IPAs will be 30 BBLs. They'll probably still be brewery-only but the hope is that they would last throughout the day and thus eliminate the need for lines. We'll see about that.

So how does this compare to the other two releases? This is the first of theirs I've had and probably the first true NE IPA I've ever had. I had it on draft and wasn't a big fan. Tastes just like OJ which I could see how some people would like but it doesn't do it for me.

Got there around 10:30, got cans about 25 minutes after noon and went in for a pour and I was sipping on it by around 12:45

Got there at 10ish and got my cans at around 12:15. I've never had a New England style IPA before so I wanted to check this one out. I gotta admit it is pretty fucking delicious.

Got there around 12:40 and saw that the line for the bar was almost as long as the line for cans. I immediately took off and came back in the evening.

The only shit show part I heard about was the people that cut the line. Monkish is considering handing out tickets next time to help prevent this activity. Some people probably missed out on cans at the end because of that.

I do have to say that the line moved very quickly. I believe there were enough cans for just over 200 people. Roll up doors went up pretty much at 12pm and cans were sold out by 12:45. The people who missed out arrived after 11:30am.

Was treated to a Black Kisses bottle this evening. Can't believe I missed the sale on that one.

I get'chu. A pal brought over a KBBS this weekend. Pretty good. Can't believe I missed the boat on that one as well.

Srsly, that was an on-line sale for about 600 bottles. So yeah, it disappeared mighty fast. Like about a minute.

Hehehe, yeah I also think it was on the same day as the cuddle/snugglebug sales and I want to say another online bottle sale. Had to pick and choose that one and the previous offerings I had from monkish were just meh so at the time it was an easy pass. Good to be wrong sometimes.

Black Kisses was fantastic. Hope they bottle it a couple more times. Would assume so, based on two separate releases of it already.

I would love to see fruit cart again. I was bummed when it sold out in less than 30 seconds.

Still sitting on my Fruit Cart. I liked Black Kisses, but loved Juteux. Apricot is my favorite fruit for sours, though. Apparently they are doing a variety of fruits on the Soul Foudre base beer, can't wait for those.

They brewed two batches of Black Kisses but only bottled one. Both batches were available on draft at the bottle release

    I am not complaining here......
but I don't understand the pricing on not only the Monkish IPA can's, but OH, Treehouse, Lawson's Finest, etc and all the other east coast IPA can's. It seems like almost all the 4 packs (16oz) are priced right around $16+/- per. Now most of our west coast 4 packs are priced average at $9.99+/- a buck. And most of the 4 packs I brought home from Chicago are priced at same....$9.99/4 pack. Most of the Pipeworks 4 pack can are $9.99. So why the big jump in $$'s when it comes to these newer east coast style IPA's? No complaint here. Just curious.

Monkish Foggy Windows 4 packs jumped from $16 to $17. Because its a DIPA?
