I've had all their releases so far except First Things First and each iteration is definitely different from the last.

I really do hope they bring back Foggy Window at some point though - it's been my favorite to date. Got 1 can left and have had a hard time opening it knowing it'll be my last...

Seems to be the case as of right now.

Their labels are rad so I don't mind the new week/new beer thing, but I do wish they'd remake some eventually so I can try Foggy Window.

theres no problem aside from the fact that people want to revisit the releases they have already tried

Foggy Window was my favorite as well. I drank my last can on Memorial Day.

Not taking a shot at Monkish but I have a slight problem with it, and I do see lots of other brewers doing it. (For example, up here we have the much celebrated fieldwork who rarely make the same beer twice).

I get the arguments for it (we want to be creative, we are too small to land hop contracts, etc etc) but I also think it unfortunately does violence to the traditions of "consistency" and "repeat-ability" as brewing skills.

I know they are different modes that work for different people, but in my mind I got a bit more respect for brewers who really dial in a recipe and then nail it over and over compared to just riffing all the time and seeing what sticks.

*edit: realize that's a bit of a false dichotomy. For me, best case scenario is you have your year rounds and then you have a few creative pilot batches at any given time. That way it's best of both worlds.

Really hope they adapt the bottle logic system when an employee was standing outside handing out a ticket that guaranteed the product they were selling. Would prevent the cutting. Oh well one can dream. Just waiting for the day that I record a fist fight over line cutting on world star hop hop

$17/4-pack for the double, that's my guess.

Sort of implies that eventually they'll settle on something, but that may or may not be specific beers. Guess we'll see. I for one am happy to try new stuff, but would love some more Foggy Window, too.

    Jeez, hope they don't charge $20 a 4pk.

$20 per 4 pack? That'd give everyone another thing to complain about outside of the sheer number of people in line, line cutters, double dippers, bottle shares in line, garbage in the parking lot. Am I missing anything?

That said, I can't wait to read this thread on Saturday

    $20 per 4-pack? I can't believe Monkish is charging $25 per 4-pack! How dare they charge $30 per 4-pack?

they did give out wristbands. The wristbands guaranteed the double ipa

What I meant is that as you arrive you are given the wristband. Not after 50 people cut in front and then the wristbands get disbursed. They don't do the wristbands until like 11am. At that point it doesn't matter anymore

when i was there i didn't like the tightness of my wristband. it was attached a bit too tight and became uncomfortable, chafing my wrist. i had to endure that for an hour and a half

Seem like each release the $$ price increases. Even over at HpB. I guess that's goes with all the hype.

A hyperbole-driven craft beer price hike from one of our beloved breweries? Now that wouldn't happen.
