Not everyone maxes out on cans when they have a chance to get a full allocation. So yes, people do change their mind but that's not the only reason. I'm not certain they could or want to do this (have people prepay) for many other reasons beyond my knowledge.

But let me get this straight: First it was about there being lines at all. Then it was about rampant line cutting. Now it's the speed of the line. When does it end? Never. There's constant complaining about everything.

Been thinking about this and I figured it all out. Hire a tattoo artist (paid in beer) first time there you get a monkish logo. Then for each release you get a specific tattoo for that release, something small and quick. . No tattoo, no beer. Put it somewhere visible so they get free PR. And it stops the BT vert cause you can't be visibly intoxicated to get a tattoo. Done and done. You are welcome.

i think it's all 3 things really. people are trying to come up with solutions to what they see as a solvable problem.

    do you like the lines?

But, if there's no lines, then it's not special and I'm not interested in buying the beer. F*** Monkish!!!

Well I got there late last go around for the 10am release. Towards the end of the line and I didn't pick up my cans until close to 11:45pm. I'd say it would speed it up significantly. Anybody changing their minds can bitch about refunds if they like. I highly doubt anybody would change their mind though. Be nice to just have someone hand you the allocation and walk out right away. Guarantee it would move fast

I don't think any of those things mentioned are particularly pleasant so most rational people would probably want to avoid them.

Or simply do cash only which saves the wait for CC transactions.

But then the ATM line would balloon and people would cut and stuff.

Then you have to deal with change and such. Credit card pre transactions are much easier.

Unless it's exact cash they take longer than a credit card.

No. But they are what they are. You can choose to not stand in a line. Didn't someone say there was just as good beer sitting on shelves?

That was me actually. And I do choose not to wait in line. That's why I won't be there this Saturday

That said, I'm interested in the prospect of Monkish reducing or eliminating lines, thus, contributing to the discussion. It seems like Monkish is actually interested in improving things themselves, and open to ideas. Rather than take an "it is what it is" approach there's also "what are some ideas to improve this" approach.

In any case, enjoy the parking lot on Saturday

I haven't tried monkish's IPAs yet and planning to do the whole wait in line thing. However, I noticed that the last two releases were/are on Saturday. Are they always on Saturday? I actually have more flexibility during the week as opposed to weekends.

Saturdays. Use to be at noon. It's at 10am now. I guess from the heat.
