Crazy neckbeards lining up since 2am. Just show up about 3 hours before release and you will be fine. Not that waiting 3 hours for IPA's isn't crazy but it beats 8hrs. :astonished:

Or you could also just come in and get it on tap when the spot is open. So unless you need those cans.... You can still enjoy the great beer without the madness.

I was hoping to share some cans with a friend coming in town. I guess he's out of luck. Plenty of other good beers...cheers.

It's only because I was an asshole yesterday that today I figured I should be good.

I love Modern Times and their IPA, Accumulated Knowledge is a pretty typical "Wheat/white IPA" and doesn't really have the mouthfeel/yeast character that is defining this style. It's good, but I wouldn't put it in the same category.

That's what I originally thought of Monkish compared to the stuff coming out of NE, but now I think they have really dialed it in. Looking forward to see how the upcoming Modern Times unfiltered cans compare.

agreed. The AK is just thick and wheaty. Doesn't have precision that Monkish has now the flavor backbone. It's like a more unrefined version of a wheat ipa

I think the first release or two weren't quite the same, but the later ones for sure have nailed that flavor profile. I've had a pretty good selection of the stuff from Treehouse, Trillium, Other Half and Tired Hands and I think Monkish is right in the same league, with their own twist on the hop profiles.

That being said to go back to this thread's other favorite topic, I am not going to sit in line for 3 hours for beer. But I will cruise in on an afternoon to pick up my Fruit Cart.

What I find interesting with all the Monkish I've had is how they develop a really unique melon flavor as they age into the 30 day mark.
