Went to this event and here's my opinion: 1. Cantillon above all else as far as sours - could not keep away from the gueuze 2. Lost Abbey - really impressed. Their framboise and kriek were great. Perfect sour and jammy fruit 3. Don't know why but Russian river was last for me. Not a great balance between the sour and fruit for me. On an overall basis, I'm not sure of lost abbey is spontaneously fermented, but until American breweries are doing the same, they won't catch up to cantillon
Initial rush was crowded but nothing crazy. Even left after a while and came back and the only keg kicked was Mamouche. Overall a great day at Monk's
