This looks too good to pass up. Is anyone going to this tomorrow (8/3)?

    Sunday, August 3rd @ Noon
These Sour Ales will be served in six ounce glassware:

Allagash Broken Elevator (my last keg)

    Cantillon Gueuze

    Cantillon Iris

    Cantillon Mamouche

    DeMolen Lief & Leed

DeMolen Rook & Leer (my last keg)

    DeProef Sour Barrel #1

    Lost Abbey Framboise

    Lost Abbey Red Poppy

    Monk’s Café Flemish Sour Ale

    Russian River Consecration

    Russian River Supplication

    Russian River Temptation

    Tilquin Gueuze

    PALATE CLEANSERS

These Palate Cleansers will be served in pints:

    Allagash White

    Lost Abbey Devotion

    Russian River Blind Pig

    Russian River Pliny the Elder

Sierra Nevada BCAA (we'll pour one of their Beer Camp Across American collabs)

I expect we will be kinda busy for this event, so we are making this a CASH ONLY day.

It will speed up service, plus Monk’s won’t have to pay the credit card/debit card vig.

REMEMBER THIS EVENT IS CASH ONLY…the Tums & Rolaids are free.

Went to this event and here's my opinion:

    1. Cantillon above all else as far as sours - could not keep away from the gueuze
    2. Lost Abbey - really impressed. Their framboise and kriek were great. Perfect sour and jammy fruit
    3. Don't know why but Russian river was last for me. Not a great balance between the sour and fruit for me.

On an overall basis, I'm not sure of lost abbey is spontaneously fermented, but until American breweries are doing the same, they won't catch up to cantillon

How crowded did it get there?

Initial rush was crowded but nothing crazy. Even left after a while and came back and the only keg kicked was Mamouche. Overall a great day at Monk's
