Monterey, CA Bottle shops

Bump. I'd like to know too.
And any suggestions for local or socal beers I can't get in norcal?

 

Monterey isn't really in the distro for either region. Head up to SARA and ask for advice over a pint (or 10). I'd probably end up at the Bevmo in Carmel or Salinas.

 

I'll be back in Pacific Grove in a couple weeks and there's really no decent bottle shops. Bottles N Bins is the only place with an ok selection. Parking is a joke though.

So Monterey sucks? I was planning on finishing my schooling at CSUMB. May have to rethink that.

 

As someone who lives in the Monterey area, I wouldn't say it sucks. A lot of good beer is brewed along the Monterey Bay. Just so happens there aren't really any great bottle shops.

 

Anyone here try Food Corner Market in Seaside?

 

My friend brings good stuff from that area whenever he drives down from SF.

Really going to miss the convenience then. Oh well. I am sure I will find some good stuff. How are the beer bars around Seaside?

 

Post No Bills in Sand City, two brewpubs in downtown Monterey: Peter B's and Alvarado St.

 

Bottles and Bins on Lighthouse in Monterey is probably the best bottle shop in the area.

 

The only other place I go to in Monterey County for craft beer is XL Public House in Salinas.
You can bring in your own food.

 

Try Whole Foods at Del Monte Center (the mall).
