arriving in Boston tonight and seeking out Lunch or any MBC brand. Staying in Somerville/Arlington and hopefully bringing back to Minnesota. Is Craft Beer Cellar in Belmont my best chance at finding Lunch in the area? They claim not to have any - so where else can I find?

Month old Lunch is probably still pretty delicious. I'd buy it. I've had Lunch twice, once withi n 5 days of bottling, once within a month, and it was great both times.

The other brands from MBC are pretty easy to come across around the city at any of the big stores (check bottle dates for the hoppy stuff). Lunch you'll need to rely on a tip from someone as, contrary to the post title, it still sells out quickly around the city.

Drink Mo. You'll (probably) be happier

Due to crazy price points, all their stuff sits on shelves so you won't have a problem there. Lunch is still tough to come by and I haven't heard of any store that has it in stock. Charles St. Liquors got a shipment last week but it sold out within a day or two

Redstone just tweeted that they got a new batch of Mo in - so OP, it's probably hitting stores in the city as well.

Fingers crossed for you that it's better than the last batch of Mo (hop water.)

If you're in the Somerville/Arlington area, definitely try Craft Beer Cellar in Belmont or their Annex in Winchester for a good selection. I've picked up MBC beers at the Annex plenty of times, and the owners are awesome.

If you can't find it there, you can always try the Kappy's in Medford at the intersection of 28 and 16. Rich is the beer manager and should be able to tell you what they have from MBC (usually on the lower shelf of the craft beer section). If they have Lunch -- and I get it there often -- they will tweet about it and post on Facebook, so you can look there. And they keep it in the back rather than put it on the shelf -- have to ask for it.

I was informed today by a beer dept manager that the next batch of Lunch will be the last one for some time due to a shortage of one of the hops. I don't know if that's true, but thought I'd pass it along.

On a warm shelf ... no, pass on it. From the cooler ... then you might be ok.

how much they charge over 9 with an arm and a leg? Im surprised it even hit shelves there. After the frist two batches 2 years ago the store employees hoarded every batch for over a year...talk about good customer service.

I drank a bottle from the newest batch last night 8/13, good but lacking the citrus kick it has in the first week. There is a huge difference week 1 to 2 on this beer.

Locking this one down as the question should have been directed to the brewery or store, and the thread has moved away from the original question.
