Moonlight Brewing appreciation thread

Giving this a thread bump... anyone?

 

Would like to know as well since we'll be up in Santa Rosa next week!

 

I asked in another thread a week or so ago and the answer was "summer."

it's always on cask at toronado.

 

Step 1: Realize Moonlight is fantastic.
Step 2: Go to Flavor Bistro in Santa Rosa and ask for the Moonlight Death & Taxes Float.
Step 3: Be amazed, and enjoy.

 

Granted I've only been to Toronado twice in the last 4 years, but both times they had Twist of Fate on cask, which was delicious even though I'm not much of a fan of cask beer.

 

Soo...when we going again??!?! I say we all meet at AbeCalls and roll on Saturday!

 

Threadbump--has anyone actually visited the taproom? Are they (finally) open?

 

I was there two weeks ago. Not open.

 

There was an item in the Press Democrat Bite Club column two days ago saying the tasting room had recently opened.

 

Oh, joy. An IPA on cask.

 

Quick aside, can anyone confirm if Flavor Bistro has re-opened?

 

It was open this weekend. Did it ever close? The French bistro next door (Rendez Vous) closed a few months back.

 

Yeah it was shutdown earlier this year for awhile because of violations

 

I was there end of March and it Flavor Bistro was opened. Food is fantastic there.

According to the article, it looks like the taproom is still a ways out.

Guess I will just have to drown my sorrows at Flavor with a cowgirl burger and Death and Taxes instead.

 

Looks like it was open on 10/31 according to 101northbrewing ig photo.
Not sure how regular folks would know when they're open.

Brian Hunt is one of the coolest dudes in beer. All he wants to do is brew whatever the hell he wants in peace and whether anyone likes it or not is a matter of total indifference to him. And he is absolutely the philosopher king of beer. Get him started on any topic and whatever time you invest in listening will be well spent. Moonlight is one of the great open secrets of beer geekdom.
