It will probably be crazy. They have recently upped production though.

As thuey mentioned, the Cellarmaker collab is being released. Also a SANTE ADAIRIUS collab ....so some possible interest from outside just Sacramento..

Don't forget they are also releasing BOTTLES of BA Wicked Whisper Stout. One with Maple and one with Coconut to add to the madness...haha....

    https://www.moonrakerbrewing.com/can-releases

    4/20 -Northern LIghts -W/C DIPA

4/20 -Amelia -NE Hazy Tropical IPA

4/20 -Low Viz NE Triple IPA

    4/20 -Dojo - NE DIPA

4/20 -Atomic Betty - NE DIPA

4/20 - Cloudy Judgment (Cellarmaker Collab) - NE DIPA

If you want to beat all the madness.... no weekday lines.....

Fresh "The Hermit" cans just rolling off the line today. This IPA is still one of my favs from the first few beers they did in Summer 2016. Citra and Amarillo.

So... following the IG posts from Moonraker, this seems to really be going down hill quickly...

Friday - Release of Northern Lights (90 cases no limit, BAWW Coconut (72 bottles), BAWW Maple (384 bottles).

Saturday - No public releases. 2nd anniversary party. Ticked sales only.

Sunday - Whatever's left that the party people don't buy up.

    Seems really shitty to me.

I've never understood, beyond hype abs marketing, why a brewery would hold a release for.....70 bottles. Nothing good will come from that. That crowds and anger will cost them more in the long run.

Also not a fan of them holding majority of the sales for a ticketed event. Last year worked perfectly by holding back cans to make sure people attending the Saturday party had a chance to purchase.

I agree. I took Friday off so that I would be able to try the new beers, only to find out that a single ipa is available. Even if they did a mixed 4 pack of the other beers so we could get one of each would have been ok with me. I am a huge fan of their beers but a little bummed out with how other aspects of the brewery work. Revision and Moksa both have releases the same weekend so limiting sales to their ticketed customers are just going to drive people to the other breweries.

This Anniversary type release is almost the same as last year, so kind of expected. Really they should just have been upfront about it earlier when they first put out can release details that it would actually be Sat with tickets and not the normal Friday for the general public.

To much good beer in the surrounding area now to be worried about it as you mentioned. Don't forget New Glory in addition to Moksa and Revision in April. NG has been upping their game every week.

With their increased Moonraker production from the 2nd facility, things will actually be back to the "new" normal of cans lasting all weekend for most releases in May and going forward. Several cans in March saw distro into the Bay Area when they didn't all sell at the brewery.

At least last year they set aside a 3rd of all cans for each day , it'll be slim pickings Sunday. I have buddies going Saturday , I'm gonna let em borrow two of my big coolers and hope they can get me a pack of each

Stupid Moonraker moved most of their can releases to the Saturday Party only. (Now only 1 releases tomorrow. Was that what @atomicpunk5151 and @reefer_bob were referencing in their posts?)

Great, if you have tickets. A diss to everyone else. I swear they botch their anniversary every year. (Recall last year they announced they'd sell half their Ann. Tickets for Walk Ins then they changed their mind.)

@thuey ... YES, that is what we were talking about above. They changed most of the cans to 4/21 (Sat) about 2 weeks ago.

If you don't have a tix for Sat, you are out of luck on the SARA or CM collab for sure.

Just a guess, but most likely some DOJO and Low Viz cans will last into Sunday.

They also just announced yesterday that sales on Saturday will have PP limits. They have also said they have around 650 total cases of cans. That is a lot of beer.

One more quick detail. It looks like Can sales on Saturday are only from 11am to 1:30pm before opening.

That is actually a pretty short window considering more then half the people with Saturday tickets probably won't even show up until 5pm and miss the can sales.

The actual Anniversary party is from 2pm to 10 pm.

Luckily I was there today and they have the SARA collab and CM collab on tap. I'm sure people who end up with the cans will be happy. But I'm glad I got to try them on tap.

Oddly, I'm not sure if it's because the last two times I went to Moonraker, I got flights (palate fatigue, etc) ... but for some reason I'm not as into their haze when I visit them. Both this time (and last Christmas), the most notable beer was Miss Conduct for me.

I tried the 3 beers being released tomorrow along with the two Wicked Whisper variants (all of which are on tap), the WW beers were the highlights by far. I was a little worried about spending that much on bottles I hadn't tried but was very happy with both, maple being my favorite.

The can design on Northern Lights is my new favorite label from Moonraker, their graphics seem to be on a major upswing lately.

Yeah, I don't think I liked Wicked Whisper but I was pleasantly surprised by the BAWWs. Of the two, the Coconut was our favorite. I definitely think that was the best of the new beers. But I'm not really into BAIS these days so didn't take any bottles home. Nor cans of Northern Lights either.
