Mosaic Crush just won gold at a San Diego Beer Festival. Hopefully that won't impact the lines for it. Probably not though since hazebros mainly go for IPAs/DIPAs.

For me though, I may like their Crush series most of all, although I've only had Simcoe, Mosaic, Equinox and Jungle. I'd love to try Citra Crush and Galaxy Crush. I didn't realize the Double Crush series was actually DIPAs. That's like the Cellarmaker naming scheme!

Thanks! That makes me hopeful. Turns out I was slightly mistaken, though, and the can release is the Mosaic Double Crush rather than just Mosaic Crush...but if they run out, I'll still get my growler filled and guess I'll just have to visit again!

I live in Vegas and I have family that is coming to visit that have offered to stop at the brewery to get me a growler. Are all beers on tap available for growler fills if not is there a way to find the list. My parents know nothing about beer so I have to be very specific on asking them what to get for me.

No, you'd likely have to call the brewery. I know of no online mechanism that shows what's available for growler/growlette fills.

As Jake mentioned, you have to call the brewery that day.

Just an FYI, several of the most popular beers are NOT on for Growler fills. They are still such a small brewery that they cannot meet demand of the tasting room pints and do growler fills of all beers.

Just this past weekend, Yojo and Electric Lettuce were draft only, no growler fills. That was a little disappointing, but I understood.

Holy Hermit was on for Growler fills though...so win for me.

How quickly are cans moving? I'm done with finals and can hit them up tomorrow.

Not that it affects me but WTF is their marketing strategy. I feel like Moonraker is all about the false advertising now on social media.

Are you referring to the abrupt changes to release dates & party details?

    Precisely.

"We're gonna have 150 tickets presale, and 150 tickets of our anniversary party for walk ins!"
"Just kidding, we decided to sell them all by presale! Better luck next year!"

"We're gonna release Mosaic Double Crush on Friday."
"Just kidding, we decided to release them early on Wednesday. If we happen to sell out before Friday, better luck next canning and guessing when we'll do things!"

I love their beer, but people should really call them on their BS.

I actually had it in my calendar to hit moonraker from the Bay on Friday for the originally scheduled release of Crush. Then they released it today and I was sad, since I won't be able to get anything Friday lol

It's still worth a try. It was pretty dead in there tonight.

Can't comment on the Anniversary weekend shift, think they addressed the rationale for that change.

If cans run out on Friday, then this discussion is worthy. If they last until Sat regardless of the early release, then it's pointless.

It's possible now that they have their own canning line they'd rather not tie up what cold storage they have longer than needed. I for one love them giving local folks an opportunity to get cans and not deal with (any) lines. My $0.02

I'd guess you're fine. But no total numbers on what's been/will be canned to my knowledge.

I don't think it would be a problem if they never announced it prior and just decided to do a sneaky drop in but the fact that they said one date and decided to change it up last minute does kind of suck.

Like I wrote earlier, if they run out before COB on Friday then this dialogue is needed. And at which point I would agree. If not, we've all wasted keystrokes and time. My $0.02

Really it looks like they are still dialing in the production amounts and when to can with the NEW canning line. They have literally only had it a few weeks now. As we have seen with other small breweries, it can take a few runs to find the sweet spot with scheduling. They posted that 5/12 Friday release date about a month ago, so things can change.

They only have a small cold storage space between the front room and the middle room with the pool table.

Also the cans from the last few releases has lasted several days. You can still get Zulu Haze and Miss Conduct CANS from the 5/5 release almost a week later.

The only upcoming Moonraker release with big demand are going to be the 6/2/17 Pure Project Collab.

With the increased volume and frequency of can releases from about 20 Bay Area and Sacramento breweries, the lines should be less all around.
