Cans of Moasic Double Crush lasted into Friday. So much to do about nothing in the end.

They still even had Miss Conduct cans on Sunday. They even did growler fills of Extremis TIPA and Yojo 66 1/6 DIPA on Sunday.

It's still a middle finger for those who could have only gotten there Saturday :stuck_out_tongue:

You can say it's much ado about nothing, but their PR person needs to be fired.

It sucks for folks who have to plan to make the trip, but great for locals. If they kept it this way or did random releases, I'd be totally ok with it.

I don't disagree, but that was the exact reason why they sold all the Anniversary tickets ahead of time. Regardless of intent I don't think one can ever make everyone happy. Cheers

At this point in craft beer history, it's hard to be pissed when the options are so plentiful. If you lose out on one option, there are plenty others to take its place. Also, at the rate that these breweries release their beers, it's tough to even keep up.

Great point. After I finished my Moonraker Zulu Haze cans I moved on to Fieldwork, Alvarado Street, Modern Times and Knee Deep Cans.

So many solid options every week from so many places. Tough to keep up.

Hell, I even split a pitcher of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale at the local Ice Hockey Rink this weekend. I only had to wait in line behind 1 kid waiting for Nachos.

This is definitely true, it is hard to keep up. I wanted to get up to Moonraker from the City, but when the wife wanted me home I wasn't that disappointed considering I have a (dwindling) case of Pulp, some Vengeful Barbarian, Lucidum, some Hazy MIkkeller, and even some Trillium and Treehouse stuff I got in trades. Plus the case I have I have coming of the Modern Times/Cellarmaker collab released today. My gut and wallet actually need a break on this obsession lol

I will still try to get up to Auburn for a can release one of these days since I really do like Moonraker stuff.

Update: I went on Saturday as planned, and was still able to get a 4-pack of Mosaic Double Crush cans. (They also still had Miss Conduct.) The person after me bought 6 4-packs of MDC... :O

For the record, since Saturday was the only day I was in the area, I still would have gone there even if they had run out of cans. I would have been a bit disappointed, but I just wanted to check out Moonraker. Also, it looked like at least half of their beers were available for growler fills anyway so I could have gotten another growler if MDC cans weren't available.

I ordered a sampler of Equinox DC, Simcoe DC, Alpha Tide, Holy Hermit, Electric Lettuce, and Vespers Nine. All were great, except for maybe the Equinox DC which was just decent. Equinox hops IMO taste like a computer smells and even Moonraker couldn't fully cover that up. My favorite was the Electric Lettuce collab with Alvarado St. (which, like Moonraker, has done wonders in such a short amount of time) and my next favorite was actually the Alpha Tide, which was a bit surprising to me but it was bursting with juicy berry and mango. I got their Vespers Nine simply because it was their only dark, and it was also very good.

I also REALLY lucked out and happened to be there on a day they were doing fills of Extremis, so needless to say that came home with me. Coming up from the Bay Area...I'm not used to being able to get a 10+% beer fill for $20. Usually it would be close to $30, or higher. I'm also really glad because I was driving and not sure I'd have been able to enjoy a glass of that at the taproom. So, I'm really looking forward to trying it out.

Isn't it just Equinox Crush? Or did they actually make a double of that too?

I was really impressed by Simcoe Double Crush though. I don't know what Moonraker is doing, but they make Simcoe taste far more interesting and peachy than any other brewer.

They make an Equinox Double. Yeah, the Simcoe one was extremely well done.

Holy Shit - I was up in San Jose this past weekend and visited St. Alvardo and ISO Beers. I tried Simcoe Double Crush @ ISO Beers and it was mighty delicious.

Just some info on the new Zamboni Haze NE DIPA. It is a "Double" version of Zulu Haze. Simcoe and Citra hops.

On tap now. Cans on 5/26/17.

Trying Mosaic Double Crush now. I admit I'm disappointed. Regular Mosaic Crush was super juicy. Not that Mosaic Double Crush is bad being a West Coast style but it lacks the creamy mouthfeel and depth of the pale ale version.

Got up to Moonraker on Saturday night. Plenty of both cans for everyone that wanted them. Easy release.

Citra Crush is still great. New Zamboni Haze is solid as well.

Wonder how similar it is to this one.

Clouds of Delusion was pretty solid, definitely one of the better cans from Pure so far, but I wouldn't line up for it.
