Moonraker Brewing Thread

Just had my first can of MoonRakers Double Galaxy Crush Last Night and WoW too bad these guys are located so far from IE/OC/LA Area.

 

They're far for us Bay Area folks too.

 

Big Friday CAN release coming up on 10/27 at Moonraker.

YOJO IPA
Also DOJO DIPA and Hermit IPA.

3 of their most popular beers. Should be a pretty good size line on Friday at noon. BUT if recent production increases continue like the last few releases, there should still be cans Friday evening or even Saturday. We will see.

 

Looks like one case per person? Yikes.

 

Oh man that's just not enough. What am I supposed to do with the rest of the cans I have when they release more next week!?

 

It is the same limit as they have had the last few releases. The total cases on this release is a little less then 2 weeks ago.... 450 cases this release vs 485 cases last release. The 3 beers are also in much higher demand. I would guess this just lasts through Friday.

 

Yeah, no worries on missing out when they have a release every 2 weeks. But I think IQBlue is more talking about the people that are now just trading Moonraker and not drinking it themselves.

5 CAN release in 2 weeks on Nov 11. Even some West Coast! Also their first Milkshake??

Haven't most of the releases for months been around 150 cases per beer? I guess there have been more releases per week though...

 

My only worry is I actually plan on being there for this one and these beers are in higher demand since they are pretty much their most popular ones. Side note: looks like these were canned last week?

I thought I read on IG that the last triple can release was only 3 per person.

 

Moonraker just posted that YOJO (150 cases) is already sold out after only 90 minutes.

Still some limited DOJO and Hermit left.

I was hoping to make it up Saturday, but no way any cans will still be available.

 

Looks like everyone who was in line by 12 got cans then. I left there at 1230 after having a quick pour and the line had shrunk down considerably (to the back exit). Moved fairly quickly.

Someone's car got towed too shortly after I got in line I think.

 

I'm not from the area but will likely be visiting this Saturday (Nov 11th). Any advice as to when I should get in line to ensure I get some of each can release that day?

 

Got some Hermit, DOJO and YOJO cans, haven't had YOJO in a good while and it is tasting great.

 

Based on the beers being released I think you would be fine just showing up when they open.

 

Saturday's release is a triple canning:

Benevolent Overlord - West Coast TIPA
Blueberry Mosaic Milkshake IPA
Citra Crush - NE Pale

Because they've never done a Milkshake IPA before, I wonder how fast that will last.

I would say that it wouldn't hurt to get there 15 - 30 mins before opening...

 

Each weekend is a little different lately. Yojo sold out right away on Friday 2 weeks ago. Dojo shortly after that.

But last week on Friday, cans lasted through Sunday since they were not high demand beers (Hazy Duz It NEIPA and Alpha Tide West Coast IPA) .

This upcoming release also may be a little different since it is on a Saturday and not the normal Friday. Usually people can make it easier on a Sat vs the Friday at noon due to work.

Only 1 Hazy Pale Ale. Then a West Coast Triple IPA and a Milk Shake. That is an odd grouping. Will be interesting to see the demand level. Should be a decent size crowd.

Usually the 2 main facebook Sacramento Beer groups post line updates or pictures if there are any.

 

Might needv to try that milkshake IPA. I've had a very hit or miss relationship with them in the past, but if anybody is gonna do it well it will be Moonraker.

Just got here for today's release. The line is pretty deep already. First satuarday release in awhile.
