More Brewing (2020)

I was at Villa Park last night and was able to get the double barrel. Very solid. Refreshing to finally have something that isn't loaded with coffee/vanilla etc. The other Henna on draft was too sweet for my liking.
it was my first time back to More since COVID started. It was nice to kinda feel normal again. they updated with a huge tv screen menu, some new TVS. So it looks like it will still be a good spot for 11AM beers and some Premier League next summer.

 

I went to Villa Park today and they are being very strict about having a reservation, so be warned.

I wasn't a huge fan of double barrel Mehndi. Maybe it was too boozy and not integrated well? I thought the standard Mehndi was WAY better.

Falling Colors Coconut was pretty solid for 6.25%. BiB Breakfast Blend was a really good pastry stout. And BA Nutellik was also pretty good, though maybe a touch boozy.

I happened to be over there visiting my mom in Elmhurst, so it was nearby. Overall, a pretty good showing though not something I would have felt bad if I missed out.

I live closest to the Villa Park location of More Brewing company by time driving. I live not far from Bartlett and thought this might be a closer location. Alas, it is not. Sorry to have wasted your time with my previous post, Initiate.

Interesting, though won't knock it until I try it (if I ever do). Past weekend I ordered a beer slushie from Noon Whistle (sour berliner weisse). Figured it'd be a gimmicky mess but darn it I loved it. Perfect for a warm Saturday afternoon.

I had an Arketype Coco Flux yesterday, and the coconut was starting to fade. Still delicious, but it has more of a chocolate flavor now and less coconut "richness" than it did fresh. I'd recommend drinking them soon.
