couldnt disagree more. you liked double strawberry chantilly too right? that was one of the most artificial fruited beers ive probably ever had. crazy how our palettes are on both sides of the spectrum here, might be the strawberry being used.

apologies the hype didnt pan out. i really was a huge fan of those two (dusty and dbl strawberry).

Yeah I did like Double Chantilly more though I prefer the single version. No need to apologize and “led astray” was too strong haha. I think palette differences for milkshakes might have the widest range of any style or subgroup including pastry stouts. Unfortunately, right now we don’t usual option of a 5 oz taster before committing to the expensive 4 packs

I did a strawberry beer tasting a year or so ago with @kdawgmoney. Chantilly, marbles, shakey, M-43 strawberry, NG strawberry rhubarb, and strawberry SJ.

my notes are somewhere on this forum, but it was shocking how differently the strawberry flavor manifested across these beers (there also seemed to be very different amounts of lactose and vanilla). We also frequently had visceral, strong, and varying reactions to each one.

do some side-by-sides and report back!

Only because you do plenty of tastings in the name of science, I did the Double Marbles vs Double Chantilly side-by-side challenge, Strawberry Edition. Here's my room temperature take on it.

I preferred Chantilly for mouthfeel but I liked the strawberry flavor in Marbles better. And it could be the same fruit product for all I know, but the Marbles flavor seemed more "real" to me.

So basically, take the Chantilly recipe and add the Marbles fruit and that would be my ideal product.

I’d say it’s a big deal even though they’ve done some self distro before. Sounds like their fobab release is coming in 2 weeks based on their cryptic message

I realized I had a typo. I meant “big enough news to share,” not “not enough!”

Do they still have any of Shaun's barrels hidden about? Check the nooks & crannies.

    Looks like they do!

It's RADA: an imperial stout aged for 2 years in bourbon barrels, collab with Voodoo. Via Oznr.

So BA Henna Nutellik is available via delivery, but I don't see it available to-go at either location. Didn't see anything posted on social media about it either but I could have missed it.

    $30 a pop though...

Sucks that this is not to Go. I'm not in the zone, I'm closer to their pub. Too Bad.

Per IG and FB, Rada, a BA collab with Voodoo will go on raffle on Oznr on Monday.

Hopefully the lottery will stay up the entire time promised unlike other recent Oznr issues

Oh yay. Another Oznr release. Have at it. I will no longer give my business to exclusionary breweries that force people to install an app to purchase a beer. Can't wait until next year when I have to download the TrkY app because it will be the only way to purchase Thanksgiving fixin's

Loving this new, expanded delivery zone from More! Just put in a nice order with some neighbors for a delivery to Oak Park tomorrow. Adding a Nutellik bottle was a pretty easy decision.
