What’s the scene looking like? Heading over now

 

Made it. Pretty calm, but except standing room only

 

drinking your sorrows away because you were hoping for a rematch of the Chicago Cardinals v. Philadelphia Eagles 1947 game?

 

For anyone there at More.....I may not be able to make it till tomorrow at open for a pour. Is there an expectation that it will last through the evening to tomorrow? I know the last Henna lasted the weekend but just wanted to confirm from folks who have been there today. Thanks

 

It’s good. Loads of Marshmallows

I’ll ask before I leave (30 mins).

BA Henna: Toasted Marshmallows is pretty good. Big marshmallow aroma. Plenty of marshmallow and vanilla in the initial flavor, with some chocolate sweetness coming through. The barrel is more noticeable at the end, and more so as it warms. It’s no straight up barrel aged imperial stout (like Mehndi) but it does have more noticeable barrel than basically all their other BA Hennas with maybe the exception of Vanilla Caviar. Thick-medium mouthfeel. Very much enjoy it, but it’s sweet enough that I’d probably be good with 10oz serving.

 

From what one of the bartenders said, unlikely to last to Sunday. It’s relatively calm today but not a lot was kegged.

 

I went over on lunch, planned o passing by to see a shit show but I walked in and got some with relative ease. The beer is decent. I thought it tasted extremely similar to the draft version of BCBS vanilla- which I liked less than the bottled version. It seemed thinner than past Henna / More stouts, and had a weird bitey finish to it. All that said it is still a really good beer, enjoyable with tons of marshmallow flavor.

 

I'm sorry. Did you say food barrel?

 

not to exalt form over substance, but i'm pretty sure he meant compost barrel to be precise

 

Compost barrel, .... Turtledogg-like? @croush couldn't stop raving about the awesomeness of the compost aspect to Turtledogg... he should really like this one too then.

We may be the older guys when we show up to the FR share, but not that old! By the way, I’m rooting for Boston but I’d bet on St. Louis.

I had the marshmallow henna today. It was very “food”, but not my favorite henna. Great barrel flavor, but as it warmed the marshmallow did some weird stuff that I didn’t love. I know that goes against what people say, but I liked it better before it warmed

 

It just kicked. No pours for the rest of the weekend

Well, that changes my lunch plans for today!

 

Well this saddens me. Was planning on getting there around open. Ah well still prolly do lunch there.

 

I was going tonight solely to check out the brewery. I am glad it won't be extra chaotic.
