I don't think Sunny and Perry think that, have heard them say way too many things to the contrary going back to days when Mikerphone was dropping Special Sauce off at Ardmore and the brewery was just a concept. That said, they have to realize it's possible he'd want to leave at some point.

Ugh, I'm letting myself be drawn into this but...

No, the quote above assumed that the difference between what Shaun is netting at More and what he could net if he owned his own place. It's not assuming that the two owners of that brewpub are earning $5k a year in profit. You also assumed that Shaun doesn't have equity in More, which isn't the general (speculative) consensus.

regardless of what the announcement ends up being, we will be able to look back and see that the genesis of this could be clearly traced back to Mikerphone.

Not sure I'd call it the "middle" of anything. They don't have an IL liquor license for that location, which means they don't have formal approval from the village. Have they even begun renovations on the site yet? They clearly have a lot of plans, but has there been any visible progress? The post makes it seem like a contractor leaving someone's kitchen in shambles, when it's more like some blueprints have been dropped off at village hall.

Also, the ILCC lists Sachin (Sunny?) Patel as 100% owner of JayDev/More. I don't know what kind of arrangement Shaun or Perry Patel might have, but that's what it says in the license lookup.

Everything I've seen has been speculation as though he doesn't. Honestly they'd be foolish to not have offered him equity at start and more now. Their fast success is a product of one thing. his reputation. If he has an equity stake, it's virtually impossible he'd be going somewhere. Which is making me think more and more that this is Perennial/Side Project situation. Which I think might be risky, from a brand cannibalization and back-filling standpoint. Perennial was bigger than Cory was, More isn't.

Perhaps Shaun is about to he indicted by Robert Mueller for colluding with the Russians to make a new Russian Imperial Stout, and he will be opening his new brewery in the big house? Gulag Brewing Co.

Lines are just randomly forming throughout the state as everyone tries to be first in line but, has no idea where to line-up.

Holy. Fucking. Shit. I did not see that coming. How did More not have him locked up from day one with equity?!?!?! And with all their expansion plans!! Good for Shaun for following his dream. Lots of people don't have the courage. Can't wait to see what the future holds.

Location on Twitter shows Chicago, IL.

Perhaps not the real location but RAM was close enough for me to make the drive, Villa Park was too far a drive, so your telling me there is a chance

His announcement says cold beer in a few weeks so I assume that means he's gypsy brewing for a while? Maybe he's brewing on MoRE's equipment? Should I stop speculating so much?

They already have a twitter account and website, http://www.phasethreebrewing.com/. Looks like they will be distributing, not sure about the taproom time frame or location.

So MOREs general manager Evan is leaving too, not just Shaun. Sonny and Perry must have done something to sour this relationship, especially with the upcoming expansion this is nuts.

MOREs GM and Head Brewer start their own place, and their social media/website specifically states “by honest people” more than once.

All signs point to some shady bullshit at MORE pushing them away.
