    I've had Double Rainbow on 4 separate occasions (on tap at the release, out of the bottle at DLD 2018, again on tap at More, and out of the bottle at the end of January), and to me it's always been strawberry forward.

    Man that beer was stellar.

    Agreed all around. Always strawberry forward, though I probably prefer the mellowing of a few months based on previous experiences with it (though usually on tap and rarely out of the bottle)

    Probably a stupid question, but did the Double Rainbow kick? This is the first day I might be able to make it over to More, and I'm just wondering.

    Stopped by for lunch and answered my own question.

    For those interested, they still have Double Rainbow on tap. Although it's funny, people above are saying it's "strawberry forward," and I think it's one of the least strawberry-forward neapolitan stouts I've ever tasted. Usually neapolitan stouts have a little bit of tartness up front that comes through from the strawberries, and sometimes they just taste like tart chocolate stouts. I didn't get that at all with DR. I thought the vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry were all perfectly balanced.

    It’s definitely a sweeter strawberry but I get what people are saying

    The strawberry in DR actually smells and tastes like strawberry ice cream, that's the most unique thing about it.

    The first time I had it, it was a random keg they threw on with a can release. I stopped by on my way to the gym from work, figured I had to try it. Got to the gym, got on the stationary bike, and was burping strawberry ice cream throughout cardio. Best cardio day ever

    It's the only strawberry I've had in a stout that didn't taste super artificial, or like insanely sweet puree from a spoon. It's a game-changing Neapolitan stout in my book.

    made it over last night for dinner.

    macaroon henna was awesome. i really really enjoyed the passion fruit dusty though, its spectacular.
