I was gonna say the same thing. Didn't even know I liked boysenberry until I had that beer. Incredible

Not to derail the thread but Hudson Valley is my brewery of the year. Killing the sour IPA game right now. For everyone who enjoys the More frooted variants....seek out some Hudson Valley. They are based out of Beacon, NY. Cheers.

Very different beers, I'd assume...Frooted are neither sour nor IPA's. Both have fruit, granted, but I figure the profiles would be very different.

Full disclosure: I've had one Frooted (decent but underwhelming) and 0 Hudson Valleys.

Very different indeed. I probably should of posted in the "Chicagoland NE IPA" thread as a rec for the locals but at least now you know.

Nice to see More finally have 8 to 10 options of its own available on draft these days. (At least that's been the case the last two or three times I've gone). Was painful for about a year there always hoping they will have more than just 3 or 4 when you got there. I've been there once when there were only 3 of their beers available!

Remember when More used to make stouts? Ahh the good old days. Kidding aside, I saw they have a new BA stout at GABF.

Yeah, still can’t figure that one out. Sure would be nice to have an imperial stout on draft at all times. Maybe that will happen this winter.

Even if not at all times, with them being so well known, it'd be cool to see one in frequently. Like, 50% of the time or something. Like - on any given day you go in, you have a 50-50 shot of trying one of his stouts.

Edit: I'll be in Chicago in the spring, and a hit selfishly want to try something from him while there.

The current strategy is working so well I'm not sure they are ready to move away from it. Being able to sell 1000+ bottles in one morning is pretty valuable. Once the hype dies down (1-2 years) I bet they will have a stout on for the warmer months.

It’s been nearly 8 months for a non-BA adjunct stout so I don’t get the strategy there. Maybe Frooted has been a more profitable beer to make?

I had a Warli oatmeal stout with lunch today. Pretty damn impressive I'd say. Smooth, creamy, roasty, dark chocolate goodness, and only 6.3 abv! Crap, I wish I had one right now.

I don't drink many stouts in the warmer months. I know "stout season" is all year round now but I have no problem with them waiting until fall/winter for stouts.

That’s fair but they also stopped doing bottles (with the notable exception of the BA beers) in February.

Just got the competition list for GABF and Mehndi is listed as "Imperial Stout aged in Weller barrels for 13 months".

Yeah we'll see if I can get anywhere near it but it sounds delicious. I mean, at least in theory.
